Me 2, My son just created a low frequency to keep strays away. I like to smoke fish and meats. When I do other peoples animals enter my yard and do not want to leave. The frequency also interrupts car stereos for people who like to play loud music and do not have a concern for other neighbors.

They both shut up instantly on command. But I also take them to the dog park and encourage them to do their natural thing in the appropriate place. Regardless of what YOU think, barking in a neighborhood is NOT "only natural." It's YOUR dog, not the neighbors. If you don't like that responsibility, then get rid of your dog, move somewhere else, or... take your damn hearing aids out!

THIS. This is the reality I live with. I have gotten an air horn. My neighbors have huskies, pit bulls, and coonhounds on all sides it sounds like I live in a kennel. 24/7. So I got the air horn. I told them if you don’t train them, I will because nobody can sleep because of these nuisance dog and pet owners

Another little fact you just don't get, your neighbors hear the bark differently than you; is the dog barking away from your house and toward someone else, why is it barking. Big or little, trained or not, when your dog barks, you are making your problem everyone else's problem. How nice of you to consider everyone else except yourself first. Typical.
Once in the morning is fine. Even a few times a day. It's when it's all day every day, even for just a few seconds at a time. Or for an hour. And or at random times.
@@jamesbizs My neighbors dogs sometimes bark once but usually 4 -7 times in the middle of the night (2am - 6am). They are so loud even with their ONE bark that it wakes up my whole family. So I say once is not ok. They wouldn't like it if I went outside and screamed at the top of my lungs once. I don't mind a few barks here and there during the day. But the one loud bark at night when they are let out to relieve themselves wakes us up. We are woken up at least 5 times a week from the early morning / middle of the night bark(s).

It’s called a fire wistle. We have one and are getting ready to use it on the neighbor who let’s their dog bark at 4 and 5 and 6 am for 15 minutes straight (yooo ooor… yooo ooooorrrrkk… repeat)… and then all day. Good luck proving who owns it when it gets set off in different garages. This is what we plan to do. Our neighbors have even set up a wifi that is named “shut your dog up.”

Me too! I live on the lake and it was peaceful until the new neighbors bought the home behind us. They have 2 west highland terriers, a cocker spaniel and they just added a beagle that howls to the pack. I'm loosing sleep and can't focus on my work. I'm buying this device. I'd rather put a shock collar on the owner though.

We're surrounded by 8 barking dogs 10 feet away. Cops won't do squat. Dog silencer won't work on German shepherds. We want to sell our house but who would buy it. We have no quality of life. I could cook stinky tripe outside everyday. But they would call the cops on me

It really does not matter if the other neighbors aren't bothered by it. If one person was annoyed enough to spend their own money on that device, the owner has a responsibility to stop it.

So, lady is the source of neighborhood noise with her annoying barking dogs. Other neighbor is so sick and tired of it that he decides that it is time to send back some noise of his own (but only when her dogs are barking)... and barking-dog-lady has a problem? If you have a dog, keep it inside with your doors and windows shut (except obviously for bathroom time) so that you- the owner- are the only one who needs to suffer the noise disturbance.
Don't recommend that. Just don't get a dog at all, or please train it. Keeping it indoors means people who don't want the dog but mommy insists on it have to suffer too. I'm a teenager- I try to sleep on time (10pm, I know it's cliche but I can't sleep) to make it to school. Mom has two barking nuisances that keep me up ALL hours, so even napping after studying isn't an option. I can't talk to her about it- I've tried- she just feels judged and shuts down conversation. Nobody really wants them but her. Even the 15 birds aren't this noisy (don't want them either). Dog barks cause stress people!
I'll be purchasing anti-bark devices for my property this spring. 3 new neighbours turned our quiet neighbourhood into what sounds like a kennel. After 2 years of non-stop racket I can only hope my devices will also annoy the neighbours. It would be a lovely bonus.

The response I've gotten from neighbors with barky annoying dogs is "that's what dogs do" or "there's nothing I can do about it ". The barky dog owners seem to feel they have a RIGHT to inflict their poorly socialized, untrained, spoiled dogs' behavior on any unfortunate neighbor within earshot. So it pleases me beyond words that these old biddies are pissed off about this noise. I have NO sympathy for them. Train your dogs and you won't have to hear the high pitched sound (which I honestly doubt they can actually hear, especially the one with the hearing aids. I think they found out the neighbor has come up with a self defense and they react when they see the neighbor's door open. Show me an audiogram that proves they can hear a sound above 20,000 Hz and then I'll believe it. These biddies just want to rule the roost IMHO).

I'm disabled by migraines 10-20 days per month after experiencing 3 TBI's from accidents. Our neighbors have a dog who barks almost nonstop when it's outside. If it's not barking at activity, it's standing on an outside table looking into the house, barking, nonstop. We've tried to talk to our neighbors, but they turn off the lights and won't answer the door when we knock. Seems they know why we're knocking. We've left considerate and firm notes in their mailbox, and still nothing. This has impacted my life dramatically in the 1.5 years they've lived there. The barks are medium to high pitch and feel like hot daggers piercing my head over and over when I have a migraine. As I said in an earlier comment, I hooked up loud outdoor speakers with the Bible being read either on CD or online. Eventually this calmed the dogs down and and the dogs stopped barking.
Which town is this in. I am impressed by comments. There is no dog worship here but straight up people who understand animals and rights of others. Your property (dog) shouldn't stop others from enjoying theirs. You guys are wonderful citizens.
My neighbor to the left has a dog that barks for 6 hours straight during the day time, and for 2 hours on and off throughout the night. My neighbor to the right has a dog that constantly barks when they put him on the balcony to use the restroom. You read that right. So once a week, those people dump water on their balcony to clean up any messes and the people underneath them have to get watered down pee drip down to their balcony on a weekly basis. I found this 5 hour loop of dog whistle on UA-cam that makes the dogs cry, and so when my neighbor is home and I’m sure she’s asleep, I play it in random 45 min intervals. I don’t get any sleep because of her, how she won’t get any sleep cuz of me! When dogs bark for that long, there is something wrong. It’s usually neglect. They aren’t getting fed adequately, they never get taken on walks, they live in filth, or they get very little attention. Why have a dog if you know you won’t properly care for it?

We need to have no dog communities that everyone agrees to when they buy a house. Because of my neighbors barking dog I now can't stand to hear a dog bark. Luckily we complained about it and other neighbors and they got rid of it.

It's so nice to come across fellow travelers of the shrill neighborhood barking dogs. Every single neighbor of mine has between 2-4 dogs. A small majority of them will take their dogs in if they bark. The rest look at you like your asking they put their dog down when you ask that they be a little more hands on. I'm finding that a lot of dog owners like to claim that they rescued a dog only to feed it and keep it outside in the cold.

No, all dogs do not bark. We have a husky that never, ever barks unless he sees coyotes. Then he only barks two or three times. We hear him bark maybe every few months, since coyotes don't often come around. The down side is that he's not a good guard dog but who cares? I wouldn't put up with a barking dog at my house for 24 hours. I've re-homed several dogs. Good riddance.
It seems like every neighbor, besides me, own a dog or dogs. This couple across from me just moved in & they have a dog that barks at my next door neighbors 2 small dogs. They throw their 2 yapping dogs in the backyard every day and night..never walk them or interact with them. 3:28AM right now and I cannot sleep because my neighbors let their dog bark all night. Looking for for advice here and even some sort of dog whistle. I understand dogs bark of course, they are dogs. But letting them bark for 10 hours straight when they are home is non-sense. Now these women know what it feels like I believe they are sounding the alarm for neighbors not dogs.
I fee your pain. If you have a iPhone, go on the App Store and search “dog whistle”. It’s got a green grass background (east to identify) and rarely ever plays ads. I set it to 14,000hz and aim it over my wall (with my phone in hand). It seems to bother the dogs. My next plan was to buy a Bluetooth speaker (can be found everywhere now) and mount it to my house. This way I can wirelessly play the annoying sound from my bed. Still not as good as the device in this video which is automatic, but it’s a start.

I grew up in a rural community like that. Thankfully it was homes and lots that have alot of space between them in our situation. Our nearest neighbors with dogs were about 500 yards, and it wasn't too bad. But now I live in a smaller city, and have this problem with dogs 20 feet from my house. It's so infuriating.

When we, as humans, hear the contant barking, our brains perceive it as a sort of "threat". Therefore, this puts our bodies into fight or flight mode, which keeps our cortisol at high levels. This ongoing rise of cortisol shuts down our immune system until our brains no longer perceive the "threat", which in this is case, is the dog barking constantly. Same thing happens when we hear barking in the middle of the night while we are sleeping. Upon awakening, out bodies naturally have a sudden burst of cortisol to wake our bodies up. This isn't opinion, this is FACT and SCIENCE. This is truly unhealthy and lawmakers need to do something about it.

I have a theory that might help people with this issue. Anyone with this issue can buy an audio amp online for $20 to $30. Some put out up to 180 watts! (That will hurt any dog's ears!) Small high-frequency speaker for $5 and get some 20 gauge copper wire from your local hardware store. There is an online site that provides an audio signal you can modify. You connect the output of your PC to the audio amp, go to the online site and choose 20K as the frequency or 22k if you can find a site that has that high of a frequency. The human ear can't hear frequencies of 22k or higher but the dog can! Point the speaker at the dog and wait till it barks. Click Play on the site with the audio amp full blast and watch the dog stop barking quickly! Do this as many times as needed to train the dog not to bark! Only run the signal for 5 to 6 seconds. No person will hear it and the dog will stop barking. Now I don't know if that is legal or not but you will be making a device similar to what is sold legally. Just with more power. I am checking with authorities about the legality of this. I don't have a dog barking neighbor so I can't test my theory and if I find this is legal or not I will be back and post what I find. But I believe this will work. The devices they sell all run on 9-volt batteries and their output is not very high. However, my method will provide plenty of output and the louder it is the more it should affect the barking dog. The idea here is to Train the Dog not to bark. My idea isn't designed to punish the dog or hurt it in any way. I love dogs but I don't like their bark! My method should only take a few times to train the animal and then you can get back to peace and quiet.
I think people with dogs who let them bark are the worst kind of neighbors and it may be normal for dogs to continually bark, but people who let it go on for months deserve it and could care less if they disturb others. Shut your dogs up. I have neighbors that have 3 big barking dogs and it was hell for years until they became too old, but now they have puppies again. Then i had a group of 6 small dogs barking which was unbearable. The house was two houses down and wouldn’t pick up any barking. I had to manually use the remote and it wasn’t easy to keep it up all night ,but eventually they stopped and i haven’t heard em since. Once they stopped barking i unplugged the unit as to not confuse the dogs with false triggers. Well worth the price of admission. Small dogs are more sensitive to it but they are probably the worst offenders.
The dogs owner is the problem. Wont stop their dog from barking, then double down when neighbors complain, because they refuse to control their barking dog. The best part is when they mow over the dog crap in the yard, instead of picking it up. You guessed it = Just plain ignorant

When I lived in a neighborhood that did not allow dogs outside without their owner, people still left their dogs outside all day barking while they went to work. I put loud speakers outside my second floor and attached them to my laptop that played a person reading the Bible. I did this for a few weeks and eventually the dogs stopped barking.

We are sandwiched between two dog household neighbors. One neighbor has dogs that listen and they keep them out of our yard and they never bark. They came over one time to sniff us out (we had moved in some months ago). The pups were on edge and huffing, but no signs of aggressive behavior. We let them sniff us, talked to them calmly and haven’t had issues since. Slide over to the other neighbors who doesn’t every get onto their pups. They bark at anyone walking by using the sidewalk (we live in an estate). The little one squeezes through our fence and our cat has chased him off. He has sniffed us and still barks at me through my window, whilst standing in our yard and barks when i get my mail or my packages off the porch. Their bigger pup has no issues with us, never barks and is super friendly. They’ve sniffed us both on multiple occasions. The little pup poops in our yard and his guardian has stated “oh no i have to go over there and clean up your mess” to said pup. It snowed mildly and i found frozen dog poo still in that spot. I did the reasonable thing and threw it on their side. I will continue to return to sender because these neighbors have more problem causing then that one pup and the other’s constant barking. They smoke outside up against our yard, borderline in it at night (weed and tobacco ones), i’m talking 3am in the morning, waking up to skunk smell or worse tobacco (i’m sensitive with skin rashes and breathing issues). It’s near ours and our daughters upstairs windows, so i have to close them both on summer nights, leading our rooms to get toasty. Aaaaand, whilst i stop my daughter from running into neighbors’ yards (a toddler), their middle school aged kids skateboard up to our doorstep (nearly wiping out) and roughhouse, run, and wrestle through our yard... We have a doorbell camera, so we won’t be getting sued for any injuries that may occur. Anyways, poor puppy behavior is typically due to the guardians being too loose (never correcting behavior verbally or otherwise - treats or going back inside, that sort of thing) or have blatantly taught bad behavior for humor or pride or whatever.
You can download anti barking apps that play this frequency, also UA-cam videos, experiment with them to see what works...I have it hooked up to a Bluetooth speaker pointed at my neighbors dog, I'm having some success and even if i can't get the dog to stop barking all the way, I know I'm annoying the dog right back
Being untrained, spoiled, disobedient mutts. They can bark for multitudes of reasons. Just because they hear anything outside of their home noises can cause a dog to bark. If they are not taught differently they will think what they are doing is what they are suppose to do and is expected from them.

I am in an apartment complex and there are 4 units on my floor. ALL the units except for mine have dogs! And ALL 3 units on this floor have dogs that bark at anything they see! One of them is howling and crying whenever their owners leave home, for hours at end! I have tried bringing this to the attention of the neighbors, also complaining to the landlord management - all we got is a response "Well, we're a dog friendly community and dogs bark". So, what I did is I invested in a studio speaker and now every time I hear a single bark I play the highest pitched frequency between 18-20 kHz to make the dogs stop barking. I have just started this process and I gotta tell you, there is some change. We'll see if it lasts. As for my neighbors and my landlords> FUCK THEM and IDGAF if it bothers them. Dogs bark. Humans play loud sounds. Deal with it.

So I say once is not ok. They wouldn't like it if I went outside and screamed at the top of my lungs once. I don't mind a few barks here and there during the day. But the one loud bark at night when they are let out to relieve themselves wakes us up. We are woken up at least 5 times a week from the early morning / middle of the night bark(s).

It really does not matter if the other neighbors aren't bothered by it. If one person was annoyed enough to spend their own money on that device, the owner has a responsibility to stop it.

So, lady is the source of neighborhood noise with her annoying barking dogs. Other neighbor is so sick and tired of it that he decides that it is time to send back some noise of his own (but only when her dogs are barking)... and barking-dog-lady has a problem? If you have a dog, keep it inside with your doors and windows shut (except obviously for bathroom time) so that you- the owner- are the only one who needs to suffer the noise disturbance.
Don't recommend that. Just don't get a dog at all, or please train it. Keeping it indoors means people who don't want the dog but mommy insists on it have to suffer too. I'm a teenager- I try to sleep on time (10pm, I know it's cliche but I can't sleep) to make it to school. Mom has two barking nuisances that keep me up ALL hours, so even napping after studying isn't an option. I can't talk to her about it- I've tried- she just feels judged and shuts down conversation. Nobody really wants them but her. Even the 15 birds aren't this noisy (don't want them either). Dog barks cause stress people!

The response I've gotten from neighbors with barky annoying dogs is "that's what dogs do" or "there's nothing I can do about it ". The barky dog owners seem to feel they have a RIGHT to inflict their poorly socialized, untrained, spoiled dogs' behavior on any unfortunate neighbor within earshot. So it pleases me beyond words that these old biddies are pissed off about this noise. I have NO sympathy for them. Train your dogs and you won't have to hear the high pitched sound (which I honestly doubt they can actually hear, especially the one with the hearing aids. I think they found out the neighbor has come up with a self defense and they react when they see the neighbor's door open. Show me an audiogram that proves they can hear a sound above 20,000 Hz and then I'll believe it. These biddies just want to rule the roost IMHO).

I'm disabled by migraines 10-20 days per month after experiencing 3 TBI's from accidents.
Our neighbors have a dog who barks almost nonstop when it's outside. If it's not barking at activity, it's standing on an outside table looking into the house, barking, nonstop.
We've tried to talk to our neighbors, but they turn off the lights and won't answer the door when we knock. Seems they know why we're knocking. We've left considerate and firm notes in their mailbox, and still nothing.
This has impacted my life dramatically in the 1.5 years they've lived there.

As I said in an earlier comment, I hooked up loud outdoor speakers with the Bible being read either on CD or online. Eventually this calmed the dogs down and and the dogs stopped barking.
Try making a quiet room. Put double window glass, easy, just caulk on some plexiglass, and cover walls with foam core, also easy.

My neighbor to the left has a dog that barks for 6 hours straight during the day time, and for 2 hours on and off throughout the night. My neighbor to the right has a dog that constantly barks when they put him on the balcony to use the restroom. You read that right. So once a week, those people dump water on their balcony to clean up any messes and the people underneath them have to get watered down pee drip down to their balcony on a weekly basis. I found this 5 hour loop of dog whistle on UA-cam that makes the dogs cry, and so when my neighbor is home and I’m sure she’s asleep, I play it in random 45 min intervals. I don’t get any sleep because of her, how she won’t get any sleep cuz of me! When dogs bark for that long, there is something wrong. It’s usually neglect. They aren’t getting fed adequately, they never get taken on walks, they live in filth, or they get very little attention. Why have a dog if you know you won’t properly care for it?

He has no view of the outdoors or anything, he's just an annoying and barky dog that gets zero attention from his owners. My other neighbor fills my trash can FULL as soon as they are emptied. And yet people wonder why I'm not a people person.... I even went out of my way to introduce myself and be nice to these people, even invited them into my home when they moved in, and all ive gotten for it is bullshit.

A small majority of them will take their dogs in if they bark. The rest look at you like your asking they put their dog down when you ask that they be a little more hands on. I'm finding that a lot of dog owners like to claim that they rescued a dog only to feed it and keep it outside in the cold.

No, all dogs do not bark. We have a husky that never, ever barks unless he sees coyotes. Then he only barks two or three times. We hear him bark maybe every few months, since coyotes don't often come around. The down side is that he's not a good guard dog but who cares? I wouldn't put up with a barking dog at my house for 24 hours. I've re-homed several dogs. Good riddance.

They throw their 2 yapping dogs in the backyard every day and night..never walk them or interact with them. If you call to file a complaint, the excuse for doing nothing: "You're in the county. There's nothing we can do." I guess people outside the city limits aren't entitled to peace and quiet.

3:28AM right now and I cannot sleep because my neighbors let their dog bark all night. Looking for for advice here and even some sort of dog whistle. I understand dogs bark of course, they are dogs. But letting them bark for 10 hours straight when they are home is non-sense. Now these women know what it feels like I believe they are sounding the alarm for neighbors not dogs.

I fee your pain. If you have a iPhone, go on the App Store and search “dog whistle”. It’s got a green grass background (east to identify) and rarely ever plays ads. I set it to 14,000hz and aim it over my wall (with my phone in hand). It seems to bother the dogs. My next plan was to buy a Bluetooth speaker (can be found everywhere now) and mount it to my house. This way I can wirelessly play the annoying sound from my bed. Still not as good as the device in this video which is automatic, but it’s a start.

I grew up in a rural community like that. Thankfully it was homes and lots that have alot of space between them in our situation. Our nearest neighbors with dogs were about 500 yards, and it wasn't too bad. But now I live in a smaller city, and have this problem with dogs 20 feet from my house. It's so infuriating.

When we, as humans, hear the contant barking, our brains perceive it as a sort of "threat". Therefore, this puts our bodies into fight or flight mode, which keeps our cortisol at high levels. This ongoing rise of cortisol shuts down our immune system until our brains no longer perceive the "threat", which in this is case, is the dog barking constantly. Same thing happens when we hear barking in the middle of the night while we are sleeping. Upon awakening, out bodies naturally have a sudden burst of cortisol to wake our bodies up. This isn't opinion, this is FACT and SCIENCE. This is truly unhealthy and lawmakers need to do something about it.

I have a theory that might help people with this issue. Anyone with this issue can buy an audio amp online for $20 to $30. Some put out up to 180 watts! (That will hurt any dog's ears!) Small high-frequency speaker for $5 and get some 20 gauge copper wire from your local hardware store. There is an online site that provides an audio signal you can modify. You connect the output of your PC to the audio amp, go to the online site and choose 20K as the frequency or 22k if you can find a site that has that high of a frequency. The human ear can't hear frequencies of 22k or higher but the dog can! Point the speaker at the dog and wait till it barks. Click Play on the site with the audio amp full blast and watch the dog stop barking quickly! Do this as many times as needed to train the dog not to bark! Only run the signal for 5 to 6 seconds. No person will hear it and the dog will stop barking. Now I don't know if that is legal or not but you will be making a device similar to what is sold legally. Just with more power. I am checking with authorities about the legality of this. I don't have a dog barking neighbor so I can't test my theory and if I find this is legal or not I will be back and post what I find. But I believe this will work. The devices they sell all run on 9-volt batteries and their output is not very high. However, my method will provide plenty of output and the louder it is the more it should affect the barking dog. The idea here is to Train the Dog not to bark. My idea isn't designed to punish the dog or hurt it in any way. I love dogs but I don't like their bark! My method should only take a few times to train the animal and then you can get back to peace and quiet.

I think people with dogs who let them bark are the worst kind of neighbors and it may be normal for dogs to continually bark, but people who let it go on for months deserve it and could care less if they disturb others. I am getting one because the people do not come outside to see what the dog is barking at. So to damn bad, be a good neighbor.

Shut your dogs up. I have neighbors that have 3 big barking dogs and it was hell for years until they became too old, but now they have puppies again. Luckily for me I have enough money to sue and escalate the issue this time. Dog owners who let there dogs bark and never trained them to not bark at ghost noises shouldnt have dogs IMO. I have a tiny yapper and it took me 3 months of training to stop him, it can be done!

They think that the world revolves around them, I didn't talk to one of my siblings for 3 years because she showed up at my house with her "emotional support" dog. I told her that I didn't give a f what it was but she needed to get it out of my house. You don't just show up to someone's home with an animal and not even ask if it's OK. She tried to say that I wouldn't tell her to ask if she could bring her children, and I told her "The day you give birth to one she could bring it with her"

I’ll be investing in a few of these. One for each side of my yard. I’ve been to my neighbors twice now to discuss the issue and they could care less. Hoping it works and I could also care less if it bothers them since common courtesy and rational discussion don’t seem to work.
buy the goodlife dog silencer.I had a terrible problem with neighborhood dogs barking at all hours especially at night. The dogs next door were easy to stop. You could tell immediately once installed that the dog knew something was amiss. The barking would become intermittent. Eventually it would stop all together. Then i had a group of 6 small dogs barking which was unbearable. The house was two houses down and wouldn’t pick up any barking. I had to manually use the remote and it wasn’t easy to keep it up all night ,but eventually they stopped and i haven’t heard em since. Once they stopped barking i unplugged the unit as to not confuse the dogs with false triggers. Well worth the price of admission. Small dogs are more sensitive to it but they are probably the worst offenders.

When I lived in a neighborhood that did not allow dogs outside without their owner, people still left their dogs outside all day barking while they went to work. I put loud speakers outside my second floor and attached them to my laptop that played a person reading the Bible. I did this for a few weeks and eventually the dogs stopped barking.

We are sandwiched between two dog household neighbors. One neighbor has dogs that listen and they keep them out of our yard and they never bark. They came over one time to sniff us out (we had moved in some months ago). The pups were on edge and huffing, but no signs of aggressive behavior. We let them sniff us, talked to them calmly and haven’t had issues since.
Slide over to the other neighbors who doesn’t every get onto their pups. They bark at anyone walking by using the sidewalk (we live in an estate). The little one squeezes through our fence and our cat has chased him off. He has sniffed us and still barks at me through my window, whilst standing in our yard and barks when i get my mail or my packages off the porch. Their bigger pup has no issues with us, never barks and is super friendly. They’ve sniffed us both on multiple occasions. The little pup poops in our yard and his guardian has stated “oh no i have to go over there and clean up your mess” to said pup. It snowed mildly and i found frozen dog poo still in that spot. I did the reasonable thing and threw it on their side. I will continue to return to sender because these neighbors have more problem causing then that one pup and the other’s constant barking. They smoke outside up against our yard, borderline in it at night (weed and tobacco ones), i’m talking 3am in the morning, waking up to skunk smell or worse tobacco (i’m sensitive with skin rashes and breathing issues). It’s near ours and our daughters upstairs windows, so i have to close them both on summer nights, leading our rooms to get toasty. Aaaaand, whilst i stop my daughter from running into neighbors’ yards (a toddler), their middle school aged kids skateboard up to our doorstep (nearly wiping out) and roughhouse, run, and wrestle through our yard... We have a doorbell camera, so we won’t be getting sued for any injuries that may occur. Anyways, poor puppy behavior is typically due to the guardians being too loose (never correcting behavior verbally or otherwise - treats or going back inside, that sort of thing) or have blatantly taught bad behavior for humor or pride or whatever.
You can download anti barking apps that play this frequency, also UA-cam videos, experiment with them to see what works...I have it hooked up to a Bluetooth speaker pointed at my neighbors dog, I'm having some success and even if i can't get the dog to stop barking all the way, I know I'm annoying the dog right back
The dog owner is almost always the problem. If dogs are ignored and left alone outside for long periods, they bark out of boredom.
Being untrained, spoiled, disobedient mutts. They can bark for multitudes of reasons. Just because they hear anything outside of their home noises can cause a dog to bark. If they are not taught differently they will think what they are doing is what they are suppose to do and is expected from them.

I am in an apartment complex and there are 4 units on my floor. ALL the units except for mine have dogs! And ALL 3 units on this floor have dogs that bark at anything they see! One of them is howling and crying whenever their owners leave home, for hours at end!
I have tried bringing this to the attention of the neighbors, also complaining to the landlord management - all we got is a response "Well, we're a dog friendly community and dogs bark".
So, what I did is I invested in a studio speaker and now every time I hear a single bark I play the highest pitched frequency between 18-20 kHz to make the dogs stop barking. I have just started this process and I gotta tell you, there is some change. We'll see if it lasts.

As for the other neighbors who say the dog barking is normal, it's easy to say that when the nuisance dogs are not barking next to your house. Win for the neighbor using the high-pitched dog (and old lady dog owner) barking deterrent.
Forget that. I didnt ask to have my Life monitored and sounded off across neighborhood at every moment by intruding noisy dogs that never shut up. I will never understand how someone can listen to or even ignore constantly barking and yalping dogs.
