John, love your videos. The tramming on the Taig is something that any new/home machinist has to learn in order to get square and sane results from the Taig. This video and your tramming gauge video are great, but they don't show the entire process with your shimming and such. I'd love to see a combined video/explanation of all the ways the Taig lets you down when it comes unsquare and how you addressed that. I've got mine (finally) squared up but it's been an unintuitive process.
Hi John, we are happy to be joining you and your channel. We own a TAIG 4 axis CNC mill and a few lathes from them (for polishing not lathe work) and we sure had issues with the column to the base. WOW an R8 collet spindle on a TAIG we would be happy with a tool changer hate setting cutters for each call out in our SoildWORKS programs. Lance & Patrick.
You guys should check out the Taig Lathe And Mill Owners Club on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/524365887660604/ in the announcements section (I think you might have to join first). They have more information on the new column, as well as the R8 spindle and power drawbar. And I know they're working on an automatic tool changer as well.

Yea, I probably didn't. I've since sold the machine, so can't go back and do an improved video. Glad you got it dialed in.
Hi John. Thank you for your videos; they are amazed and give a wide perspective about it is posible with a little thing like the Taig. Thank you
