Frank, despite not coming across that well in interviews, had great instinct with snooker. He saw things in a player nobody else could. Imagine if Doug Mountjoy had met him in the 70's? He'd have certainly won the World Championship at least once.
Even Ronnie asked him for advice.

When did you start recording snooker? The snooker break programmes started back in the 80s but before that they also had the players etc in the studio discussing things.

This one was from 1989 but I have got some recordings from 1988 but I think that's just the snooker itself. I still have lots of sorting out to do.

@@SnookerBreak I have some myself from the early to mid 80s, I posted one yesterday. You may already know that the Matchroom website has some of the SD and Friends episodes to watch for free. A couple of snooker matches i've hunted high and low for over the years is Big Bill v Higgins from the Masters 1983 and Bills match with Joe Johnson from the WC 85 ( Was there) but in over 35 odd years i've been searching I've yet to find anyone that has them. If you have recordings from 1988 WC which matches are they. I used to have Bills match with Taylor but I threw the tape out 4 years ago!
