The reason why Reardon's cueing elbow is sticking out, is because he broke that arm while he was working as a miner, and it always was like that ever since... It didnt stop him from having a straight cue action though
I always think Ray had such an old skool type cue action. Very reminiscent of the likes of Joe or Fred Davis. Technically superb, but very much a throwback
Working class gentlemen like Reardon , no longer exist in the UK now its everyone swaggering around with a pit bull and some cheap E's talking like they just walked out of a Jamaican Jail.
Great tips. The only problem is at my club, I would not get away with hitting any colour ball other than the cue ball. Unless they are billiard balls. No one can tell me why though, other than it's "bad" for the balls. Can anyone clear this up please.
Very good clear training but he did gloss over a few things using terminology that they would’ve not understood at their level. She asks him about her arm at the start but she was referring to her bridge arm but he glossed over it and started talking about the cue arm with jargon that i as a century break player would understand but i felt he didn’t really pay attention to what she was saying there but other than that very good clear training for beginners
Ray Reardon, when you are cueing, put your chin on the cue and never rise your head until the shot is completely done. And your cueing elbow is sticking out, it must be closer to your body. Please adjust these things and make a new video, because it is no need to spread wrong technic.
RIP Legend, this video is very good.
Ray has such a fascinating and persuasive way of speaking.
The voice of authority
Imagine Alex Higgins taking this class. He’d be pissed,
End up having a scrap with Mike and would have insulted Jill.
Aka The Brown Bottle from Viz!!
Dracula in his castle.
Wow this is amazing to see again after so many years. I grew up watching this time after time learning all these subtle techniques 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I used to have on VHS. What a shame the other videos in the series are not on UA-cam.
omg!glad to see shaun here!hope youll get your channel again!
Greatest. Intro. Ever.
My God, he sounds exactly like a hypnotist! Wild
He made Ronnie what we see today. A calm gentleman like him with a great Snooker Talent.
"just stroke it nice and gently, right trought the balls" 6:15
"we're having a good game here... a tight game. Very tight."
WTF does trought mean?
What happened to coaching with reardon used to be on UA-cam but is sadly unavailable.

Great story Sir
It's not the reason. He has wide shoulders so taking it behind the head would feel very tense

@@InTheRedCornerBFC it’s not the reason. The reason is his cue was too short.
@JDLondon72wrong
Great video! 👌 Are there any more?

I always think Ray had such an old skool type cue action. Very reminiscent of the likes of Joe or Fred Davis. Technically superb, but very much a throwback
Imagine actually being coached by him… such a class act
Great stuff. I remember having this on tape 30 years ago :)
So this is where Ray leaves. The castle of Dracula.
This would've gone over an hour if the sun hadn't started coming up
I see what you did there 😉😂😂
Love Ray’s cool guy 😎
please upload part 3!

Someone reads the Daily Mail
Your spot on
Yes, I grew up in the 1970:s and it's very tragic to see the degeneration.
@W SMYTHE BATES It's the truth.
Yes I've always wondered, when young British white men go to jail they come out with Jamaican accents.
The woman is very good at the long pots she did great shame she missed that last shot
Jill is a babe
Hes a great legend and master cueman!
curto esse vídeo de montão velho .............a entrada é muito legal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ray still look s the same after 500 year's
Great and helpfull :) thanks for video !
Jill had a pretty good cue action but Mike didn't have a pause at the end of his backstroke. I'm surprised Ray didn't encourage him to do that.
Nice & easy
In what year was this filmed?
1983. Reardon was 2nd favourite for world title and in the best form for 5 years.
"Nice and easy" Yeah, for you mate lmao!
Thank you 😊
Wow, NOWHERE GIRL as the title song for a 1980s snooker video...
That was a cult hit in underground discos in the 90s.
please convert this video to HD quality. this video is hidden gyms
BRILLIANT
Nice relaxing way things were back then .so much strife these days sadly.
Dracula's castle at the start.
Snooker should be easy but it's impossible.
+kingshearer2 It's so hard because humans aren't designed to move sticks in straight lines
6:13 😳
I live about 6 miles from where Ray lived
interesting , always wondered how the pros get the ball exactly where they wanted it . NICE

I guess becose then the other balls will pick up chalk and then they have to clean the balls.
Mjolbaggar Oh. Is that all. It doesn't take much to clean a couple of balls. Thanks for the information. :-)
+Cat Weasle They must be having you on mate.
1:38 mike the perv
Old Mike must be getting on now that was over 35 years ago.
very nice Drac, but there is no stop shot, its called a stun shot, hold the white where the colour was, stun...
demonoid1024 I think he might know more than you.
ha ha your explaining to a 6 time world champ, classic
Thanks for clearing that up Mr 7 times world champion
I wouldn’t mind taking Jill’s easy pink and then her hard brown
Give her a chance she's only learning
Nice and easy xD

nice
I wonder how much these 1960 smucks have paid for this

Morris Zachrisson lol' there is no perfect way to play lol you telling a multi time WORLD champion hes doing it wrong your a fool
+Morris Zachrisson Your right. I noticed him lifting his head just as he played the shot too.
Yeah like Ray needed to listen to you.
Lol you're telling the greatest player of the 1970s how to cue
I think 6 time world champion Ray Reardon probably knows more than you.
