I bought a GB350S in Taiwan in 2022, it was imported from Japan through a motorcycle trader and is a very nice bike with a very reliable engine. This video brings back great memories of when I first bought my GB350S, thanks for the video!

Looks quite good to me in black. I'm thinking about buying this, or a RE Bullet 350. The Honda will come to Europe in 2025, so I had no chance up to now to test it. The RE I tested felt very good to me.

Regarding the engine honda 350 line up is way more refined and efficient compared to RE.
Honda is vibration less and stress free till red line while on the other hand RE will have lots of vibration.

I love your smooth way of talking about that bike without any of that power crazyness for big bikes.
    Just two questions:
    - where and how do you switch the display for different data readings like trip meters?
    - is there a small compartment for tools? Where is it?
Thanks a lot for your good work. As soon as the Honda is available here in Germany, I'll book a testride.

    • @BluePacificMedia
      @BluePacificMedia  15 годин тому +1

That you 😊 Yeah have ridden my fair share of big bikes, they are fun, but I am really into chasing the flow state now and don’t need 100hp to find that. The display is changed with a button on the side of the meter, it toggles through everything from range, trip meter, fuel consumption range etc. for tools, there is no place for them, so I use a small side bag on day rides, or put them in my duffle on linger rides.
Appreciate you watching the video and dropping a comment 🙏😊it is a super fun bike. If you want to see more check out my motorcycle channel (still new) : m.youtube.com/@ridethrujapan

I just got my A2 license right now and looking for a nice bike to buy.
I currently have a 2024 125cc NMAX that I use as daily (1600km already) which I bought September this year and it rides nice and smooth and it perfect for the city, so I´m getting used to the 2 wheels (been driving for 5-6 years but only cars).
So I got license test with a CB300R that I also love but I could feel it a little bit too sporty for what I´m looking for, I am the smooth-calm-enjoy the road- rides kind of guy, I drive a classic car and I don´t pursue speed, I prefer to feel emotions through a pleasant and easy ride, with some good music and feeling every turn!
Thats why I think this bike is made precisely for the style of ride I´m looking for -correct if I´m wrong ;) , so I think I´m going for it, just need to wait till it´s available in my country (Spain) and then I would test ride it. If I feel the thing that it´s made for me then I´ll buy it.
Meanwhile I´m just getting experience with my NMAX and when I feel comfortable enough I´ll go for it!
Thanks for your review, this is a lovely bike!

I don't understand, why this bike needs to be so heavy. Looks like a 125 just with a bigger engine and slightly wider tires. They could have easily made it 165 kg or less. At least its lighter than a Royal Enfield.

Haha yeah, seems to have disappeared though. When you just look at stats you kinda miss the point of this bike. That single air cooled engine has so much soul. And it only lacks power at the high end. It still pulls nice.

The Pricepoint is really too high for a 350, considering a speed 400 or even RE are almost half the cost. @honda

The euro price is about 10% higher than Japan. But here it is really competitively priced.

The Triumph Speed 400 is arround 5700€ it is way highter than the 4500~4600€ this bike is coming to EU. (RE 350 is about 4200~4500€ depending on the model)
Also there's not even a reason to compare both besides the looks. The Speed has 40hp and arround 37nm torque. Two complete different bikes with complete different character.

Finally Honda, you woke up from your design sleep, I thought you had fired your designers ! Ok, they have the Cub 125 but ruined it with keyless start and a not so nice analogue display, the original was far nicer but it's analogue so better than TFT.
I have been so sick of Honda's stick bug shape sport and sport tourer bikes and ugly as shit TFT screens, you just can't get more boring than a NC750x or pretty much most modern Honda or other Bikes.
Triumph have the gorgeous Bonneville, now the Speed 400,
Royal Enfield, well, they don't make boring looking bikes do they ? Royal Enfield have the Classic 650 coming lovely bike but shame on the TFT navigation display, it was not needed and completely out of character, I just don't get who can make these decisions ? An analogue fuel gauge in it's place would have been far better !
Kawasaki still have the W800 and the Z650 RS.
Any other modern retros I'm missing ?
But well done Honda, I hope the GB350s is the beginning of more gorgeous bikes to come hopefully with more power and the least amount of electronics and no digital screens at all ? think Bonneville T100 !
Honda should have made the current Rebel more retro !

I sat on one of these at the bike show here in the UK last weekend. Really nice. Under £4000!!! I figured it was made in China. Nope! Made in Japan. Apparently, Honda only makes about £150 if that on every one of these. Trying to get market share. I own a Royal Enfield Classic 350. Absolutely love it. Similar looking bikes. My classic cost £4,500 and although the Honda gives you a bit more for a bit less, I'm happy. Still, i have to say, Honda bringing out a bike like this has to be a wake up call for other manufacturers. This in turn has to be good for us. Great to see one of the big 4 reading the writing on the wall. Bikes sales are crap and alot of dealerships are closing here in the UK. Hopefully, bikes like this will save the industry and our ability to afford a decent bloody bike at a decent bloody price! Cheers! Oh! And I still want my trousers back! 😀

@ yeah it is a great time to be in the market for a mid range bike. And this one is so well made it blows me away it is in that price bracket. Be careful with those pants…no protection at all. I grabbed some revit jeans now.

@BluePacificMedia I know what you mean about the bockers. Although I'm 59, I only started riding about 2 years ago. I bought the trousers from amazon back then. Look good and the knee protection helps but I'm under no illusions about how safe they are. There are high quality riding trousers out there but they're alot of money. I have a couple of pairs of leathers I got on ebay that I wear alot. Thanks again though mate. 👍

Considering RE 350's around 4200~4500€ this is a pretty decent price.
Also considering the first thing you would want to do when getting an RE is throwing in a new pair of decent tires, there goes that difference

What a boring, nondescript little bike. RE Classic 350 has it in the bag. I will bet a pound to a penny that Honda won't sell as many as RE.

    • @BluePacificMedia

@@mikeemerson9832 we all have our tastes, I can stand the look of most RE’s just trying to look like a bike made 40-50years ago. I like the classic lines but with modern touches. Nice that we have choices though 😉
