    You are the best! And yes, I also suffer more in architectural terms than architecture itself. And I really appreciate your sensitive approach to using English words specifically and explaining each of them for better understanding and getting good knowledge on that. Keep going like that! Thanks for everything, Balkan Architect

    Thanks for explaining that error message; I encountered it only yesterday and couldn’t quite follow it. "Revit says 'it's your funeral…" LOL. I’ve been a subscriber for a number of years now and your videos are so helpful. Thank you.
    I chanced upon one of your earlier videos the other day and - wow! - your English has noticeably improved over the years; basically you have absolutely no problem with the language. I am English born and I often feel you speak English better than English people! So I hope you don’t mind me pointing out one little thing that even most English people get wrong these days - even newsreaders who should know better! You mentioned “less steps“. When the noun is plural, the word to use is "fewer“, e.g. "fewer steps". Less money/fewer dollars. Less traffic/fewer cars. I hope you don’t mind me mentioning that as your command of English is excellent! Btw, I was very impressed when I once heard you use the word “tad”. That’s not a common word. 👏🏻👏🏻

  • @archmengistu

    You haven't connected the stair to the floor. There has to be a better way to do it.
    I once saw a UA-camr trying to address the same issue using a landing at the point where the stair and floor slab wood meet - better than your method but still not good enough. There has to be a better way.
    Have you noticed when you switched the parameter of your floor slab to structural on the properties panel, it automatically connects to the structural columns? - Revit should address stairs in a similar fashion.

    • @Jerkzilla
      @Jerkzilla 2 роки тому

      Or have Archicad style options for the top and bottom of stairs, where you can configure how much further the structural part goes below the bottom and how thick the finish should be on the top tread.

    Having the tread go into the landing is not a solution; that is a really bad hack. Also, treads are supposed to have a lip over the risers. Even if there are no risers, the treads overlap each other. If you ever found and climbed a stair without this, unlikely, you would know why right away.
