Facts, but since I want to get noticed to prove a few advices, here is my advice as a 70k player in knockdown. *I'm not joking* 😭
Kiting, or whatever this man called it, was waiting for your opponents next more, it's more like baiting but something so obvious about it, is experienced players will always back up, leaving a tiny bit of stamina left after their barrage. What I figured out is, what if you land some hits, but leave atleast half of your stamina, then back up. You're opponent will most likely think you're low on stamina, if they're not a maniac and check every second then they'll rush you, now keep backing up, and wait till they hit, if missed you can waste a lot of your stamina for a barrage, catching them off guard because they didn't expect a outlash that big.

Dash Feints, commonly used for experienced players but here's one thing I've learnt from it, and I think nobody really uses it now, but walk forward, then dash back, this will obviously enrage your opponent, so try the Kiting strategy, and the pressure is now yours

Also fight an opponent with 15 FPS, from the other side of the globe and the additional +500ms lag spikes every 15 seconds.

Tip for everyone: if you constantly change your play style from offense to defense you're opponent would have a hard time knowing what to do but only switch to defense if you're opponent has begun to adapt and switch to offense if you got your opponent on the ropes of being out paced.
And most importantly have low ping

Tip: if youre low on block, tank some hits and make sure you still have enough guard to block a sneaky punch (those people who do raw ults, like me) . At that point, just try pding or dashing out to neutralize their pressure and take the flow of the game from there
a little tip to make your fights easier, if the opponent makes the mistake of letting their block get to a very low point such as at 9:12 (the block doesnt need to be completely grey) the ultimate can penetrate the block and will connects when you block break them, since ultimate does a small amount of block damage. i just wanted to tell you this because i realised you only thought the block break before the ult would work, but its this small tip that can clutch up games sometimes
Your right! I’ve used this a couple of times but it’s definitely a gamble on if you break guard or not.
Something’s it’s a huge clutch and saves games while other times it just wastes your ultimate.
I believe that freedom smash mode can land an ult as long as it hits ONE m1 chain, kinda op
Furthermore, the way to counter this is to just take a couple m1s whenever you know someone has ult and disengage as fast as possible to regen health. (Especially applicable against Iron Fist players)
my one pro tip:
hold W and make ur character face directly in front of ur enemy, there is a 95% chance they'll dodge when you do this, once they dodge thats when u press m1, if they keep spamming dodge, let them do so, what you want to happen is for them to dodge and they'll get caught by your m1 once their dodge animation ends. keep repeating this until you learn their pattern.
Once you learn their pattern, the game is on your hands.

There is a improvised version for this: hold block when approaching them and using the same technique as you said. I can 100% guarantee the method works very well because it makes your opponent gaslight themselves to dodge randomly. I reached interim in my main and my alt with this technique with my ping being 160 average. It works on every style
Edit: I forgot to write this: When you're blocking, there's a chance that your opponent might attack. If you TIME & PREDICT it correctly with your m1s, you get counters
Never relax after not perfect dodging. I had used to have a habit of feeling relief after dodging and getting hit right after because I wasn’t paying attention. Always stay focused.
Okay so basically all of this is useless if you dont got good ping or a good device before you put it in to practice get better ping or a better device

Tip i use: try to train your reaction time and predict when or if theyre gonna dash or punch
Train your reaction time irl and ingame since it helps really well
Predict their movements but carefully
If your using a ranged style USE THE RANGE DUH example: Ghost,Hitman,Hawk, Slugger (maybe), Long guard, Bullet, Wolf (Maybe), Smash,
Watch their movements if they're dashing towards you quickly use m1 to counter since it's 89% theyre gonna use m1 or m2
MAKE SURE TO SEE THEIR M1 ALSO you can pd m1 just watch the sequence of their punches sometimes other styles, if their punches don't land that punch that didnt land wont change
Never rush, only rush when theyre low hp or your in the 2nd round
NEVER RUSH IN THE 3RD ROUND IF YOUR 2-2 (Most likely they have Ult)

Something i do is time my m2 for when theyre going to block to maximize block damage and keep them vulnerable. Its really effective against people with weak blocks and especially effective if youre using smash/freedom
I do the same works well with smash
I also noticed that they don't let their shield run out, so they won't be exposed to an ulti and can counterattack.

something i like to try with others is make them think they’re kiting me, but stay out of their punch range so they can close in and get hit by me. Ill throw one out of their range and most of the time they close in and i end up countering them.
Hawk can counter kiting because when u punch air u can back dash to avoid the punch but with hawk u can lean back at might give u perfect dodge or just normal dodge either way u still hit them
I still can’t beat the people who play passively and run around the ring like it’s a dance.

@@czz7597 its high enough to be blocked, the only way ult goes through block if it is literally the lowest it can be at 0 (e.g the shield appears fully gray without any white blotches)

@@czz7597Nope. Unless that’s hawk or freedom, the ult wouldn’t have broke through the block. Ults only do a milimeter of block damage to an style with an average block

I lag quite a bit in ubg. I dont lag in other games like cs2 or apex legends. Idk what to do exactly. I like the game a lot, I just started it like 3 weeks ago and ive hit 18500 elo i can get more but its hard and annoying to play consistently when there is so much lag. I've tried to fix it by putting all my settings to low, performance mode, turning off background apps all that stuff. I have good ping like 40-50 ping usually and still lag. I use Ethernet. Also have a good pc.
I kind of learned how to play with the lag and predict what my opponent is gonna do and such but it doesn't have to be like that. Sometimes I dont lag as much but some matches are very laggy even when my opponent has good ping as well. If you know anything to fix it please tell me. I like this game a lot and want to get to 25000 elo hopefully

I had hope and bro just straight up threw me away on 0:07, FPS unlocker and PC aren’t a thing cuz I’m mobile and my ping is higher than 100, but what is worse then having high ping is unstabile ping that can sometimes leap between 100-150 which also kinda freezes games on m1 m2 startups, I’m forever sealed on this shitty 18k bro 😭

I have a terrible device (xbox one s that's 7 years old and has never been cleaned) and i get fps drops game freezing animations lagging behind what's actual happening (makes facing charge way harder as his ability hits me before it should) etc. I'm still able to beat low like 17k elo diamonds and compete with 20k elo. ofc this is with decent ping (like 60 to 80 ms on a good day). It's not all in the ping and device, but they do play a big role in game and give a massive advantage.

I was literally fuming bcuz that hands low wasn't even using the style properly , he wasn't even tryna counter ppl , he was goin for block breaks and wasn't even tryna predict him. As a hands low main , I'm disappointed in him 💀

This is a really bad tip if you’re up against someone in champions. Some people (even me sometimes) has gotten rid of that bad habit but rather save the block if they sense that an ult is coming. What I mean by this is that I immediately stop blocking and rather tank the hits if I know i’m in ult range. If an ult comes (if predicted), that ult will immediately be blocked thus wasting it

Apart from the kiting and baiting tip, this video is useless. Until rollback comes out, players with better ping and fps will always be on top

The only tip you need: Have godly internet, or live right next to the server. This game is 80% ping, 10% reflexes, and 10% skill.
If you have trash ping, no matter how good you are, you won’t make it to the top.
That's not really true, I get 200 ping on average which goes up to 300-500 in ranked, and I still managed to get from silver 3 to diamond 2

I've been playing well for over a year now. The BEST advice that I could give to you newbies, (Newcomers to the game) Is to NEVER lose your temper and quit. This had happened to me And I lost my temper many times even though I was at my Very Peak. And now that I rejoined. Im washed up
(NOTE:If you have average ping like me, I suggest you to LEAVE The rank matches in the introduction stuff if the region's ping sucks, USA and anything else but when it's Singapore, Japan. This is coming from an old Filipino player before the Other Filipinos found this game. And don't feel down if you have a crappy device. Think of me as example. I still PD Consistently, And have a surprisingly High Knockdown for someone like me. So please if you think you're bad because you have a bad device.
