i believe the quality of the food is also a huge factor. japanese cuisine is usually packed w nutrients, has a lot less hormones and crap added to it and is just a lot healthier compared to the average american meal.

I know what you mean about coming home and food. I traveled a lot in my career, and have been to many countries. I ate a lot of good food in my travels, but when I got back to Texas, I wanted some Chicken Fried Steak, with mashed potatoes, fried okra and lots of white gravy. That and/or some 16-hour smoked brisket. When you eat the food you grew up eating, you know you are home.
Would you do a video about what you pack?! I'm surprised you only pack a small luggage for 2-months of travel!!! RTW ticket is such a lovely treat. I hope one day I could do a trip like this too :)

I recently went to Japan this summer (I seriously recommend going there), and the trip was so fun that it makes me weirdly emotional when I compare how I’m living right now, compared to how I was during the trip.
