I tell you what, on our cruise board, so many people thought that Icy Point was going to be a bust as a last minute replacement for Skagway, but I have to disagree. This company made our day.
It seems we had a very similar experience. Our boat which was also family run out of Juneau and even looked very similar to the one you guys were on. We did not see any breaches but we did see whale tales and surfacing quite a bit. I would say the best place I would personally recommend for seeing whale breaches are in and around Newfoundland. If ever you are in the St John's area, I highly recommend looking up "O'Brien's Whale Tours" in nearby Bay Bulls. The best time would be end of June early July to see them. Another good spot would be Puerto Vallarta Mexico but even places like that breaches are never guaranteed anymore. I'm very sorry to hear your stop in Skagway was cancelled. We did go but we had to tender out quite a ways because of those mud slides. My girlfriend Alex was fighting me tooth and nail on not going to Alaska because she didn't want to spend any more time in a cold place after the winter we had. By the end of our cruise she absolutely loved it as I had a feeling she would. It's an extremely beautiful state.
So beautiful!
It was amazing
Love that they were so personalized.
It was nice that the group was like 20, but it still seemed very personalized and you didn't feel lost in the crowd.
YOYOYO!!! Some day we will go there !!!
You must! You must!
great information, I am going to be in Icy Point very soon.

You can see a couple in the background that were hoping they were Mark ....
