What resin did you used to reset the fin box and was that aolne enough to raise the fin box back to proper height? also what is the resin you used for the final glassing. Cheers man!
@@vfxhouse6499 Hello, and first of all, I want to thank you for leaving a comment on my video. I’ll answer your questions clearly and in detail. The resin used in the video, both for the plug setup and the lamination, is an epoxy with a 2:1 mixing ratio, as the surfboard was laminated with epoxy resin. The filler application can also be done with epoxy resin even if the board was laminated with polyester resin, as long as the plug lamination is done in polyester resin. Please make sure not to use polyester resin if the board was made with EPS. The repair preparation method I showed in the video ensures that the plug automatically repositions itself correctly without much effort. As for leveling the plug, when you apply the filler and insert it back into the blank, make sure the top edge of the plug stays a little above the level of the bottom lamination of the surfboard. This way, after lamination, when you start sanding, the holes for inserting the fin will be revealed, as shown in the video. The filler is enough to create the necessary height for the plug if you follow the instructions in the video carefully. I’m here if you have any other questions. Thanks so much!
That must be so difficult to do, but your technique makes it look so easy! Thanks for showing us how to do it properly!

What is that powder you put in the resine?
It's made of microspheres, used to lighten and thicken the resin up.
