I saw the thumbnail and instantly thought, man I really need to take care of all of our stumps as well! Glad to heard the grinder worked out well for y'all. Probably much faster in the long run than trying to use the backhoe (plus less remnants to deal with). I'm sure you guys can't wait till you get into the mobile home! Take care, and stay safe!
Great job! nice video. Glad to see you are a law abiding citizen, carrying your weapon, protecting your family 😊, you guys are a wonderful family, God bless the USA Kevin in MI
Amen, if everybody minds there own business and worries about protecting their own family, then they wouldn't be so worried about other people's business 😄
I sure missed you last week. Glad everything and everyone is great. Yes,the state and county has to make a lot of people upset. But you have been busy trying to make it happen and appease the folks. A rake or a pitch fork would make getting those wood chips out of your way. My wife and I are in Ohio for our granddaughter wedding and will be heading back south this week. God bless your family.
Use the backhoe for that pine tree brother. Take out the roots on the side closest to the panels, then use its own weight tip it over the opposite side. No stump will be left. Keep on hustling!
You should invest in a small band mill. You have enough trees to supply you with some good lumber. As you remove what you need to and then making boards is very fulfilling. 😊
I’ve always liked WoodMizer. They have a nice starter package. If you are not planning on a business the LX25 has served me well. If you want real cheap, Harbor Freight has a decent one. Modifications are fairly simple to make on any of them to make them fit your needs. 😊
Good demo of the stump grinder. That looks like the same interface as a Dingo. I think I could go rent one and get to work based on this video and I just might.
I used stump grinders before in my younger years. They are awesome machines. I’ve also tried ax, shovel and sledges (very slow and hard). Great job kids.
I read the headline and was thrust into a panic. I thought you were demanteling Mount Stumpenmajaro. I breathed a sigh of relief when the video started.
Missed you guys last week!! Darn computers!! Lol !! Great job on the stumps!! Sheeting on the half of roof yet? Looking forward to the next one!! As always best of luck!!
Last week we suffered technical difficulties (Justin accidentally deleted the entire video!) So, you didn't actually miss anything! Stay tuned to see what's going on with the roof.
It is cool to see progress, I'm a bit confused though, I was expecting progress on the roof. I am glad you have a machine to dig them out, doing it by hand SUCKS. (been there, done that) We have 2 massive ones in our backyard that have been there for 14+ years. Smart to take on the roots too. Nice amount of mulch to play with though. That may come in handy in the garden. I am guessing you are waiting on your sheathing order to come in before you can finish the roof? I am curious if you are going metal or not.
Hey folks, thanks for the update, hope you're all doing well. Looks like you've made good use of the new toy you rented. How soon are you hoping to have the manufactured home delivered? Will that mean that it resolves the issues you were having with time frames for permits etc once you move into it? Hopefully it removes some of the pressures around that. Stay safe and have a good week.
It's not necessarily the size that matters but rather how sappy and soft the species of trees. I have my own little grinder but pine tree stumps kick my butt. Some I just have to wait a year or two to dry out. You could dig out with backhoe but would htaken longer and huge mess
That makes a lot of sense, that the pine sap makes it harder. We dug out a ton of stumps with the backhoe for our house site. Very satisfying and very messy! 😄
I was wondering where you guys were.I don't know, it just seems like a week takes a long time for me.I thought maybe you had went into lebron had your baby.
Can I ask what state are you living off the grid , I fellow a couple living off the grid in, Tennessee and they are building there home to,just like you are
We needed to adjust our living situation to appease the county, in order to continue living on our land while building our house. We also happen to be outgrowing our RV this year 😄
It's sad to see that you need to carry a weapon In Your Own Home! Last time I went to a state park, saw a guy had a hand gun in his pocket, it's a state park for cry out loud where kids are running with moms and dogs, it's a sad country we are living in.
We have encountered wild dogs, coyotes, wild boar, snakes, and plenty of other dangerous predators on our land. We take the responsibility to protect ourselves and our animals very seriously. We don't see it as sad, but as important and necessary!
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing

Sorry we haven't been answering for a while, but we are just catching up! Good luck with all your stumps! The stump grinder worked pretty well
@@DIY_or_DIE no worries, life gets busy sometimes!
Good luck grinding the stumps Justin

Lovit❤
Aargh a cliffhanger! lol good job, will definitely be eager to watch your next installment
It is a great machine. I rented one exactly like it earlier this summer. It’s a beast and was very easy to operate.
Oh yeah, I love the self propelled track models, super convenient
Good work Folks

That is a future dream of ours! Any recommendations on a decent one to start with that won't break the bank?

Good job, it makes it look good along the driveway. God Bless from your Canadian Friend.

Haha, that is a project for another day (or year) 😅
So much sweating to making a dream 😅
Hi guys,
Next time cut the stumps closer to the ground. Takes less time to grind. 👍
Yeah, good advice, also let them sit for a year lol
Missed you guys last week!! Darn computers!! Lol !! Great job on the stumps!! Sheeting on the half of roof yet? Looking forward to the next one!! As always best of luck!!

We will be back with a new video tomorrow!

The manufactured home will keep both the county and our growing brood happy. It's full steam ahead on the house, regardless!
@@DIY_or_DIE I'd expect nothing less from you folks 🙂 Hopefully it makes the journey to completion more comfortable and less stressful though
So what will you do with house you have been building?@DIY_or_DIE
We're going to keep on building until it's finished!
❤😊❤😊❤😊

@DIY_or_DIE plus the sap gums up the teeth so they can't cut very well. I'd rather grind a Maple or oak that's 3 times as big
What are the plans for the wood chips from stumps? Compost, fire fuel ?, etc...?
Right now we are using the wood chips as compost to regenerate a couple acres.
😇👍👍👍👍👍🙏💪
I've watched the solar videos I don't know why you didn't use a combiner box it would have saved you days of work lot less wires and conduit.😂
I was wondering where you guys were.I don't know, it just seems like a week takes a long time for me.I thought maybe you had went into lebron had your baby.
Not yet, but we will have a new video posted tomorrow! 😀
🇳🇴👍👍🥇👌
Can I ask what state are you living off the grid , I fellow a couple living off the grid in, Tennessee and they are building there home to,just like you are
We are in Georgia!
❤🫠🫠👍
Why the rush to get the stumps out? I thought the rush was to get the house built, before they took your land!
We needed to adjust our living situation to appease the county, in order to continue living on our land while building our house. We also happen to be outgrowing our RV this year 😄
@@DIY_or_DIE So why the rush on the stumps, don't need them gone to finish the house! Or was TORO sponsoring you?
The rush is due to the manufactured home being delivered very soon! No such luck on the sponsorship 😄
