  • We stayed in an interior virtual balcony room on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas.
Did we like it? Was it worth the additional cost? Did we feel like we had an actual balcony?
Are there too many mirrors in this room?

Are you thinking of Hunger games with the changing of the virtual screen?

YES!!! Thank you. I must of had Jennifer Lawrence in my head but mixed up her movies. I am forever grateful. 😀

Interesting background noise. Is that the engines? Do you guys hear it? Sounds like a low rumble. Maybe it’s my headphones. Nice room otherwise!

Weird, no low rumble in the room at all. Deck 11 so way above the engines. Possibly your head phones or your super sonic hearing. 🤔

What are the cost differences between rooms? Also, maybe next time you plan a cruise, walk us through the booking process, how to bid on upgrades? (Also, when it makes sense to bid on upgrades!)…

Hi@@bobbybostic7947 . Great thought, but I don't have a great answer as cruise prices vary based on the ship, the date of the sailing and how far in advance you book your cruise. For example, when we booked this cruise the delta between an interior room and an interior room with virtual balcony was about $20pp ($40 total). We also booked with a travel agent, which saved us money as she had a block of rooms through the agency she works for (Dream Vacations).
For reference the exact same cruise and room for next year is an additional $21pp, as of today. But in June, when the cruise costs twice as much the delta between an interior room vs. interior with a virtual balcony is only $9pp. This pricing will of course change throughout the year.
With newer ships or longer cruises (5+ days) the prices tend to be more. The cost just really varies and there is no magic number.
Excellent question, keep them coming. Also, when to bid . . . well that depends on you. BUT a great thought for a future video.
