For all of you people complaining about a "thin" or "boxy" sound, I say go play one if possible. You cannot judge a guitar's sound by a youtube video as there are way too many variables, to include: how the audio for the video was record, the editing process, and don't forget the compression that all youtube videos add etc.
I have it and it sounds great, looks great and it is very comfortable for playing! All my acoustic guitars are Yamaha! Great playing and beautiful chords and progressions, man!
Quality review! Thanks for going relatively in depth on the specs and giving us a variety of sounds to hear on it. Some single notes would’ve been helpful, but I know that isn’t customary for reviews. Great job!
Hi and thanks for the review. If you had to decide between LS16 and LL6 what should you buy? I found them used and from what I heard I'd go for the LS16. I hope you'll answer me quickly. Thanks again.
Marc Guittar rw is more mellow more bass, more overtones. The mahogany has a lot of mids more direct and more volume. I always prefer rosewood but in this model the mahogany Sounds great
The 26 is a similar guitar made in Japan but with "vintage" aspects like open gear tuners and what the Japanese call "settled" aesthetics. Don't ask me what that means. 8/ I also don't see a mention of the pick-up system so perhaps it skips that too. It has a volute on the neck.
At this price, great acoustic properties, overtones, pick up is crap. Again, at this price, rip it outta there, replace the saddle and have a k&k pure mini. Great guitar, and for 800 $ , solid tone wood, Find a Martin 000 solid wood at this price... in your dreams.
I have trouble believing anything anyone says when they do not say it directly to me... When you claim a 5 ply neck keeps a guitar in tune, and do not look at me, I know you are bending the truth. But then again, you also lie looking at the camera. You said it sounds great plugged in, whereas it sounds like quacky rubbish. It sounds wonderful acoustic though.
your guitar is not apples to apples . more like apples to oranges. thats like saying your girlfriend is better than mine at half the price. all guitars are unique and different. [ just like women]not all wood is the same plus the age of the wood , the craftman ship. etc etc

Beautiful player!

Is the higher price tag over the stand ls6 justified ? Thanks
well the Ls6 only has a solid top, whereas the Ls16 has solid back and sides as well.
Ls16 yes. Higher than that is a no go zone.
Whats the main tonal difference between the rosewood & mahogany backed LS16 please?

For me the mahogany is more mellow and sweet. The rosewood on the other hand is really bright and loud
great video! What's the difference between the LS 26 and the LS16?

Nobody seems to know the fretboard radius of Yamaha guitars.
I'm pretty sure that it's a 12 inch radius
@@michaeldbalance It's a 16 radius.
Just out of curiosiry, how much compression did you use on those demos???
A lot, wright???
This is not the true representation of the instrument.
Guitar sounds amazing. Pickup sounds terrible
Rosewood version sounds better by far, unplugged.
Good looking guitar but sounds a little "boxy" to my ears.
That's because Yamaha concert body guitars have the depth of a full dreadnought for a rich, full and big sound.

Too much compression ruins the natural sound of a guitar and doesn't help it's representation.
Still has the boxy and tinny sound. You can almost feel the body of the guitar through the sound. Very boxy.
I think what you are trying to say is thin sounding yes i agree
Sounds nasal on pickup !

Very thin sounding. Very disappointed with this offering.
Go try one and put a bone nut n saddle in and whamo awesome
My Sigma guitar at less than half the price of this Yamaha sounds louder and better.
