- Some people ask me to publish my cover as a piano tutorial. I just have to say that is kind of imposible to play some parts because the notes overlap, you can play the blue part and sing the melody or play everything in two piano using three arms.
( I created the counter melody that happen at 1:23, in the original the voices sing in unison)
Midi file here: drive.google.com/drive/folder...
This is wonderful, but nothing can recreate the magic that SOPHIE does with production
Thats true, the melody sound kind of boring in piano.
RIP SOPHIE 💔💖💔
Rip sophie she was great
Mozart is shacking
Also,love this
Beautifully made
Thanks
omg poor baby. love you sophie
I'd love if you could do a rhythmic analysis of this piece like you did with The Gate, there's something fascinating she does with the different subdivisions and syncopations that I can never put my finger on
I think i read somewhere that she use polymeter technique. I dont know how to explain but its like the riff have 10 bars instead of 8 (common in 4/4 music) so the riff doesnt end on the same beat after every repetition. Since the music doesn't have percussion it doesn't sound disjointed or weird.
@@augusto7681 Ugh her MIND
@@augusto7681 Thanks!
One way of writing the music is that the time signature changes with each measure. You could write this in 4/4 time but it’s easier if you identify the chords first and base the measures off that. The chords go from C to G, then to D to Eb, and this pattern repeats for the entire song. If you organize the music like this, a pretty simple pattern emerges: the time signature goes 5/4, then 6/4, then 5/4, then 6/4. There are a few 4/4 measures in there too.
I had no idea that this was an option in writing music until my piano teacher explained it. I think it’s genius that Sophie arranged the song fluidly with measures that constantly change, like water.
@@spencergabe5998 do you know the progression that happens in the middle frequencies of the track itself? right at :48 on the track itself a third instrument comes in. there is the arp thing in the high end and then the bass frequencies. i'm trying to figure out what notes are being played in the mid/low end, not the bass frequencies.
this is awesome i would love to see more
