After the moment I saw my family I just wanted to come back. Now there’s a different girl sleeping on my bed, in my house, in my room. I was always very disconnected from real life in my home country, so that was the first time I really felt alive and happy, like I was always meant to be there and not here
Thankyou for this video!! In 18 days I’m going back to the Netherlands after being in Canada and I have soo many mixed feelings. I can’t wait to see my family and friends again and to experience the Dutch culture and food but I’m also so scared that all the people I love have moved on with their lives without me.
hey there! love the video :) can i ask you when you came back, did u repeat the grade that u missed in the us or did you skip it and move on to the next grade with the rest of people in ur age group? was it your choice or did your school choose it? Have a good day/night :))
Hi! Thank you for this great question, first of all. I decided to skip the grade because my school offered me the choice and I wanted to keep learning with my friends. I had to make up some of what I missed but I was a good student so it wasn't much of an issue. Depends on what type of learner you are and which grade you do your exchange
Can you do your exchange year in 11th grade and do senior year in the US because I know some people who did that. And if so can you just come back and skip that grade because then I would’ve skipped 2 grades in total
So impressive - thoughtful, intelligent and well grouinded.
My answer to the how was it question would definitely be: life-changing
