Start with this house was built in the 1980s and did not cost anywhere near 200 million to build. Finish with it was recently sold a couple years ago, and again, no where close to 200 million. Finally, the interior décor is a Tim Burton nightmare.
I've always loved the outside. But the inside is so cold. Candy did a better job decorating back in the day. She just never updated it.

The renovation on this place is awesome. I love the all the modern touches. The black and grays are stunning. I love the lighting fixtures and the kitchen. Candy Spelling had a beautiful home also but this is so more updated today. The study updated with the fish tanks is relaxing and the bar update was nice to see. The bowling alley and theater room was a beautiful update.

Candy Spelling took such pride in that house and was meticulously down to the last detail of it. So incredibly sad to see what has become of it. All that beautiful woodwork painted over with GREY....SERIOUSLY. And the antique Fireplace mantels brought over from Europe all torn out. I understand that Candy is the one who decided to sell it, and everyone has different tastes. But to go from what it was to this....something that looks like it was decorated with a Target run and done is very unfortunate. Just goes to show money can't buy good taste.

i remember when I was young
, we had a one-room house. at night it is the bedroom, during the day it is the reception room, the eating time turns into a kitchen, the shower time turns into a Bathroom. next to the room is a narrow hallway that leads to a small toilet, almost transformed into a guest room, ha ha ha ha
currently, I have a three-room house, in addition to a kitchen, reception room, toilet and Bathroom, the important thing is that I am happy with my wife and children

This is a perfect example of poor taste. 200 million dollars for a house the size of 2 major hotels for 2 people really?. A building that size should be turned into a hotel. Maybe for a more wealthy a clientele but with 56000 ft², that's too much for just 2 people

You can always make modifications without extensive renovations. Some homes are so crafted that you almost have to tear it down to make changes as years passes by.
At one time this place was involved in major construction litigation...it was built like a cheap tract house apparently.
I've seen this house so many times. You drive past it on mableton and you hit a dead end so you turn around and it's on your right. Can't see much from the road as usual. But the strange thing about it is , beyond the driveway there's four fricking acres this house sits on but looking at it from the road, it looks small. Yes small.
You are in the house, oohing and aweing at all that you see. Then your lead to the master bedroom, where whoever is the fabulous looking person your getting ready to show your pride and joy .... your unforgettable masterpiece in your big master bedroom , that is if your a guy, you open the double doors , your guest goes to walk in , but remember , they are already drunk from all the liquor you have served them , in the many rooms back called the parlor, well they look at the expansive space of the bedroom and immediately FLY DOWN backwards (head first that is ) onto and down THE ENTRANCE STAIRS into the
bedroom. !!!!!!!!!!
The point I'm drastically trying to say is, a design flaw of the master bedroom in this house is the four flights of stairs you walk down once you open the door. It's ugly and dangerous of a master bedroom
and so disappointing when your all ready to get it on sexually with with your house guest and they kill themselves going down those stairs into the bedroom. Doesn't make sense. Does any body agree?
I would completely gut the theater and the kitchen. They are what usually "sell" me on luxury homes and both in this particular home are disappointing. Also, I have no need for a bowling alley in my house so I'd probably re-purpose that space for something else, maybe a recording studio or an indoor fitness room.

The only thing that makes sense for this place is to convert It to the Holmby Hills Inn. would fit perectly with Hotel Bel Air and Beverly Hills Hotel. Its ludicrous as a single family home and perfect for a hotel, even the location.

I've driven to the front gate a few times. Its ridiculous for I used to look like tori spelling and I tried to get in with my adorable looks. But the guard said i had to call candy. The guard said to me nice try as even though I looked like tori, no body gets pass the gate. He said shit girl , why even tori herself never gets in the gate because her mother likes the house all to herself and truly hated her daughter.

Petra REALLY renovated Kandi Spelling's old house. Unfortunately, Petra chose a color pallet that WILL l NOT be to most peoples' liking. The colors of black, shades of gray and brown's are too overpowering, However, on the plus side, the furniture is scaled to proportion to the scale of the rooms. Kandi's design of the interior was underwhelming to say the least, if not bland.and dowdy I liked kandi's color scheme, but her choice of furniture diminished the design and character of the individual rooms.
