Awesome. That look of joy and satisfaction when testing it for the first time brings me joy and excitement too. I have a HKT horn and will be installing it too.
4:30 You're gonna want stuff like this to just be on when the truck's on, so just run a wire from the 86 (switched) post on the solenoid to an accessory circuit and let your key be the switch. One less thing to forget. Also one less thing to break.
Awesome! It is super fun to have the pull chain. It allows you to control the air flow and sound unlike the on/off action of a solenoid. Thanks for watching the vid!
the_eddies It would be cool to have a second horn but would eat up all the extra space on the passenger side of the engine bay. Maybe there is another spot it could be hidden. I will mention it to Big Block and see what he thinks. Thanks for watching!
Hey man, ya know what, I got a 48 Dodge 1 ton flatbed and she will have some horns, except gonna mount them on the roof like a semi, can't wait, gonna have some semi exhaust and a good ole 350 powering her, maybe one day she get a Cummins and roll coal baby
kolbey bowen The lanyard valve is a Wolo 803-LV. The cheapest I have seen it is on ebay for around $17 with chain, it is also available on Amazon. The link between the chain and valve is weak as seen at the end of the vid but it is easily replaced with any keychain style ring.
@@eastbayhounds7604 Aren't Tunnels the BEST!!!! haha If you're ever by a train and you see the engineer honk at them, I've done this. Sometimes they honk back LOL!
I am not familiar with the Vixen horn. If there is a valve attached to the horn itself it would need to somehow be bypassed or stuck in the open position. The pull valve will work with any setup as long as it is the only valve in the air line between the air tank and horn.
@@eastbayhounds7604 vixen is pretty similar to hornblasters slightly less expensive. They send out a simple 2 wire momentary button,I was hoping to use an electric pull valve to take its place
Next upgrade on my 69 chevy dump truck. Im installing a new full wire harness once it arrives. Planned on goin through brakes next but fuck stopping ill just blow things outta my way instead
The setup uses 1/4” O.D. nylon air line. It is the same type used for air brakes on a big rig. You can find it on Amazon and at many auto parts stores.
The pull switch is a simple air valve so all you need is a line running into it from the compressor and the outgoing line goes straight to the horn. You just push the lines on and tighten the metal collars to hold them in place. The part is: Wolo 803-LV. I hope that answers you question, if you have any others feel free to ask!
J Gill I agree, we had a big sound quality issue due to wind that we discovered after filming so he opted to have music added and it is too loud in parts. Thanks for checking out the vid.
Hi I'm Kaede from Fuji TV Japan. Could you give us a permission to broadcast this video on our show? We'd like to show our viewers how truck horn honks. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi Kaede. Thanks for your interest in the video. I have to decline because I will have no creative control over the video and do not want it broadcast in an unknown context.
Rip pull string at the end😂
Thank you for uploading this, someday, I eventually I want to do this with my 1991 Ford F-150, and eventually make my truck look like a semi
That sound Never gets old! Great job!
Thanks, it is definitely a fun addition to the rig.
Awesome. That look of joy and satisfaction when testing it for the first time brings me joy and excitement too. I have a HKT horn and will be installing it too.
Nice! Thanks for your positive words and good luck with the installation. I hope it brings you many years of joy and excitement!

What a nice old Dodge!! Its big rig time!!!!
Hell yeah guys! I love that truck! Horn sounds awesome too, sweet setup!!!
I fu****kin love it. Lol. I was going to put in a selenoid, but now I'm going to do the pull chain and valve for sure.
Awesome! It is super fun to have the pull chain. It allows you to control the air flow and sound unlike the on/off action of a solenoid. Thanks for watching the vid!
Yo ha ha love it what pull switch did you use
Thanks! It is a Wolo 803-LV valve.
@@eastbayhounds7604 very welcome thank you for the info
Awesome video ! Will have to do this!
Love that old Dodge. I think you need another horn to pair with it, maybe a lower register to truly get that big rig honk, lol

@@Tractors_Trucks_And_Pups Haha, would have been cool! It surprises people when they hear that big sound without seeing any horn.
love the old power wagon man!
Where did you get the pull switch from? I’m having trouble finding one

Nice, where u bought that pull switch?
Awesome job, I can't even afford the truck so no horns for me. lol
Thanks! Hopefully some day!
You’re a beast!
Would you be able to add a pull valve to any Vixen horn set up? Replacing the button with a pull valve is what I mean
I am not familiar with the Vixen horn. If there is a valve attached to the horn itself it would need to somehow be bypassed or stuck in the open position. The pull valve will work with any setup as long as it is the only valve in the air line between the air tank and horn.

The horn definitely catches everyone’s attention. Good luck with the project!
Name of the switch you pulled?
Where did you get the pull valve ?
Niiiiiice!
What are the lines you used for the air
The setup uses 1/4” O.D. nylon air line. It is the same type used for air brakes on a big rig. You can find it on Amazon and at
many auto parts stores.
Did you use a pressure switch to cut the compressor off ? Or you just doing it by the switch?
The compressor has a built-in pressure switch. The setup works well and the air delivery is pretty consistent.
where can i buy the air tank at?
Viair sells the tank and compressor as one unit. They are available on Amazon.
How do you hook up the pull switch I'm very interested in doing it but don't know how they even work

i will get one for my toyota coaster motorhome
peter brown Nice! It is one of the best things you can add to a vehicle for the money. Good luck with the installation!
It's called a lanyard valve, unless you're not a trucker/locomotive engineer...
7:51 RIP AND LOL
Yeah man! It was a bit of a surprise but luckily the part that broke was basically a key ring and easily replaced. Thanks for watching!
How long is the chain?
I don’t have access to the truck to measure the chain but the part number of the chain and valve kit is Wolo 803-LV.
@@eastbayhounds7604 much appreciated for the quick response. I wish the kit was in stock in stores
Hahaha lmao that's so cool
Thanks for watching!
Did you fix it haha
All fixed!
Switch the horn to a Grover Stuttertone
Just looked it up and the stuttertone is a good sounding horn, will keep it in mind!

It would be nice to hear the man speak on how he did the install, but the music is too loud during the video.
