This is our way of showing the world what the Airgun Community is about. We are about balance to nature and a group of responsible people who are passionate about our sport and the world we live in. Please help me to make a difference and prove we are a force for good. Thank you, Andy. - Розваги
Missing my Friday morning air gun review. Never mind, maybe next week!
yes i feel put out a bit
Heineken the global brewer and pub operator cut down almost 300 acres of orchard in Monmouthshire
🤔 I was told by a farmer that grass land was more efficient in carbon capture than planting trees Andy , as trees only capture carbon while in leaf so only capturing carbon for short periods of the year compared with grasslands which work nearly all of the year.
Maybe the purchase of land that can be grazed and kept totally organic for flowers bees, butterflies, skylark, Curlews with nests boxes for owls . 🤔 when established a few bird watching hides, wet ground low grade agricultural land 👍
This is 100% correct - grazed permanent pasture, works all year and captures and holds huge amounts of carbon and Nitrogen compounds, ammonia, Nitrous oxide etc and works all year round, deciduous trees don’t do anything for 6 months of the year.
The intention is to use apple trees, with grassland and wild flowers and bee hives ultimately hopefully hitting as many plus points as possible. early days. thank you for your comment. stay safe Andy
@@AAROnair also depends on the species of grass. I manage a couple of hectares of meadow / grassland / woodland.
Knowing the work involved, I take my hat off to you.
🤔 so the government are getting rid of sheep farms in Wales to plant more trees
Tree’s which are less efficient at reducing carbon
than the grasslands we already have 🙄
😳 unbelievable ☹️
Grazing causes an increase in methane. Methane is claimed to be a much worse greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. It releases other pollutants but I think the growing of trees for firewood is the least damaging as the burning only releases the carbon dioxide that was captured so is therefore net zero.
A very good morning to everybody and our Friday Host Andy , well we`ve got some nice weather here today , very still and getting a little warmer ... Great project Andy ... i hope goes well ... Well have a great weekend ... Be Safe out there and enjoy our sport
I would be bitter about UA-cam keeping the money, what a great scam they have to keep your money they just have to make up any old excuse to fill their pockets. If they felt so strongly they would forgo any advertising revenue or at least donate it to a worthy charity . UA-cam seem to demonetize people a lot and sometimes for the feeblest reasons.
Is the plan to set up a charity who will ultimately own the land etc
BRILLIANT IDEA.
Hi Andy . is there a reason you turned the Comments off ? 10th May I missed being able to talk to my friends on your channel ! Thanks Simon
I didn’t stop comments, UA-cam had a hiccup and I managed to get it turned around in the first 3 minutes, sorry to upset your chat line this morning.
Nice to see someone trying to make our planet a better place. 👍🏻👍🏻
Due to the cooling climate I’ve planted an extra 300 willow for heat / cooking. I have staggered areas of willow which are cut once every 4-5 years to give me a continuous supply. I’ve gone for cold hardy breeds of chickens / ducks / goats too.
I would support. And i get it. I would trust you to do a good job of it.
However, some people might call you a bit Woke Andy.
Be ready good fellow. 👌
Planting trees, greening up and restoring rivers and land has been going on long, long before the supposed "woke culture", by people called "Conservationists" ..... Woke is an extreme fringe word that's being misused to describe anything not mainstream or properly understood and to be labeled as "woke" can be polarizing, socially and politically. If Andy can help make a difference, good luck to him.
Some people would just call him... principled 😊
jayzus, Andy's gone tree hugger
It's virtue signalling, the UK is responsible for less than 1% of global emissions.
All those years of using toxic lead vs mother nature. Every person has a breaking point. I stopped shotting fluffy wuffy pests a very long time ago.
4:03: Now I realize just how much Johnny Appleseed was ahead of his time.
Sounds like a fantastic idea and nothing wrong with a little more Cider in the world either 👍
Brilliant.
Signed up!
WOW Andy that was a bit different from your other videos 😂😂👍👍 it kind of took me by surprise and I didn't expect thats what you were gonna say.. good on you Andy.. great idea. from a small planted seed, tall and strong Oak tree's grow👍👍I hope this is the beginning on something good for everyone.. count me in.. Peace and love to you and your family from Scotland 👍✌️🤟
Like the idea Andy, monthly donation added👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Awesome thank you!
Pity Heineken hadn’t thought through how useful apples trees could be helping carbon absorption….300 acres ..gone.
Great idea Andy, good luck
You should have bought up Bulmer's extensive orchards cheap before Heineken bulldozed them all the other day ... !
Hi Andy, please go down an agroforestry route rather than a pure rewilding, or offset for the sake of it route. We are shooting our selves in the foot if we cut out selves out of nature. We need to be able to harvest the benefits of whatever is planted. There is already enough land being handed over to ‘rewilding’ in this country and food prices are soaring.
The orchard would be a much better path than willow (unless you’re planning on making and selling baskets) Look into food forests, or maybe go the old route and manage a coppice for fuel. cob nuts? It will bag you a few hunting opportunities too.
good luck mate ill be watching as always
Andy there is a problem with your payment page. Unless you live in the USA it wants a State to complete the payment. I can’t enter East Sussex it won’t accept it.
Had the same issue, try refreshing the page then you will see the box for country
What about us Yanks? I went to the website to donate and saw that it was only in British Pounds well being a Yank I can't understand how to donate when we use dollars.
I love the channel and watch 99.9% of the videos. shooting sports is one sport that anybody can compete at any skill level or ability. For instance I watched a video where a man made an adaptor for a shotgun to aim for his blind brother so that the brother could hunt turkeys and it gave them both great memories for life. What you are trying to do more people from any country could do we just have to stop with the excuses why we can't and reach out to find out how we can!!
hopefully it is designed to convert from dollars to Pounds as the project has been opened up to international. Thank you Andy
Sounds like a plan.🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳
Hi Andy, any news about that epic two Fac you were testing ?
Yes…. It’s been tested and the full review will be out shortly 👍
Thank you, have been waiting patiently for the video. I respect your opinion.
When a review about the pistol Glock 17 gen 5 mos?
You should start up a channel membership, Andy. You are an invaluable resource for airgunners the world over. Personally, I've learned a metric ton about airguns that aren't readily available here in the USA. In addition, I've learned more about airgunning and the global airgun community through this channel than I could've ever managed on my own through searches and whatnot. Your enthusiasm for the sport is infectious and I really appreciate all your hard work putting together these very professional videos. Thank you, Andy! I was injured in Iraq and forced out of the Army before I was ready and airgunning has proven to be a type of therapy, both physical and mental health therapy for me. Having such a hobby allows me to maintain and even improve my basic rifle marksmanship which allows me to feel as if I'm still keeping up with those soldiering tasks and skills that I miss so much. You motivate me to hit the bench and drive tacks downrange (between rounds of axe & knife throwing) as often as possible. Again, Mr. Airgun Reviews, if that is your real name, I sincerely thank you!
Great 👍🏻 to read. Hello from York England 🏴
@@simonnoble7589 Cheers from Spring Arbor, Michigan, buddy!
Yeh that was lovely to read 👍👍 Our family is worldwide.. peace and love from Johnny from Scotland 👍🤟✌️
In the past when the world was lush and green....it was because of co².
Now we are trying to reduce that tiny %age of the atmosphere. 🤔
Plants NEED carbon.
But our rivers and oceans are full of human generated pollution and it's getting worse....even in the UK.
And then there's water extraction killing our rivers
Great idea sir, yea I seen the vid where you mentioned this well done for trying to make a difference
Signed up Andy, thank you for what you are doing!
Love this. I'm going to share this video and link on my works Facebook. We love doing Green stuff.
Stay in your lane andy.
not polictal
If youtube think demonetizing gun videos is going to change a thing while still taking their money through advertising, they are on another planet.
What is a Bloke?
Excellent Idea Andy But may i recommend that you plant Fruit Trees rather than Willow as they will support a greater diversity of species whilst developing rather than short term Bio Fuel as is Willow and even Hemp!
Looking forward to hearing about the launch of the "AAW" (Andy's Apple Wine) channel!!! 👍👍 🍎🥂
Goodmorning from the land of eternal rain! have a good weekend you all!
Ah you live in Wales as well then😅
Good morning , missed our rifle review today ?
Nice one Andy I’m in the process of signing up 👍
Fantastic idea wish you all the success and I will support where I can
The science is saying grass land puts more carbon into the land than trees so half cider apples an half old stile meadow to support wild life, oh an ware can i bye the aar cider so i can reach out an hit the spot lol.
Scrumpy land and you could use bunnies and ducks to keep away unwanted vegetation and bugs. Combine it with an air rifle range and that way you can have good little income after a while. And a little after shuting pub serving a nice stew and something good to drink.😊
Great idea! A word of caution just beware of going the orchard route, a great idea don’t get me wrong but I know a few farmers who have orchards and they give the fruit away as to farm it, process it, sterilise it and get all the certification etc is ridiculous, of course maybe giving it to food banks or schools meal projects may be an idea, but just look into it before going that route as it sounds great in theory and then when you look into it and the govt and all regulatory bodies get involved it all goes sideways! Hopefully such restrictions may be reduced as artisanal small producers seem to be thriving now so I may be wrong, but just check first as don’t want such a brilliant idea to be derailed due to red tape and beaurocracy!
Morning Andy, as a west country lad and a avid Cider drinker i think its a great idea, i will be donating.
Keep up the good work
Regards Shaun
👍👍👍👍👍
Certainly food for thought. Good that your keeping yourself busy mate😅. I am just happy that any land that's not housing is good land now days.
does this mean we can get better toys
Well put mate,, spot on fair play 👍
Good on you mate. But just wait fror the trolls!
I’ll send £10 in the morning . . . . Jim in Taunton 👴👍
An honourable project! I would like to see the streams, brooks and rivers, free of sewage too!!
Bit hypocritical of youtube to restrict your earnings using the subject matter as an excuse, but then place adverts for scopes on your channel.
😘💕👍👍
An honourable endeavour my friend! Hats off to you for actually doing something 🫡
Thank you kindly
for somebody is 10 penny more like for somebody 1000000
Interesting
Good idea. I will definitely donate . Any chance you could post the amount you are raising from this on the website ? Like go fund me do? Seems a bit smoke and mirrors when profits are not openly being shared
Morning Andy. Very happy to support a good cause (I do like a tree!) and some small payback for the entertainment and advice over the years, KH.
just donated 2 quid, i know it's not much but every little bit counts, great initiative andy and i want to be a part of it
If it’s important to you I am happy to support you. I always need a new tee-shirt so have ordered one and I am more than happy to buy you a coffee or a cider, done that to.
Brilliant idea 👍
Morning all
no review today ? hows you ?
Love your videos.... I'll try and support from the usa
Unbelievable project Andy I’ll be behind you all the way
Andy you are right..from CANADA
Agreed 🇨🇦
Been watching since the beginning andy and can I say how many people I meet at my local rfd who when I reference you were upon they smile and say you are awesome.keep it up sir.
thank you for your kind comment. stay safe Andy
I have been watching your program for quite a few years now. Always do enjoy your reviews. Been watching for quite some time. Sorry I cannot subscribe or help just love your content please don't stop
Carlsberg cut down 300 acres of cider trees (apple) last week as they were no longer viable (profit) ! good to see them doing their bit
Heineken actually.
great project, actually brought a tear to my eye. good effort Mr AAR
I support this! 🍁
_they might cut our carbon tax after this if there is less._
Hi great thinking Andy
I will donate on payday, I do however think you should do a giveaway of a gun, say every donation of £10 gets you a ticket for a raffle to win, only draw it once the right amount is collected, and. Then maybe start it over again, I see this improving your chances or repeated donations, vector air might give you a good deal too to help
all the best
Think its a great idea but the size of the land you would need would have to be pretty big apple tree consume about 10-20 tonnes of carbon per acre each year. While we are putting out close to 40 billions tonnes of carbon each year world wide and this will keep going up. You also said about harvesting the trees to make apple juice or cider you will basically be putting all the carbon right back into the world you will be trying to take out from either machines harvesting if you dont use machines to harvest people will need to drive there to do the harvest lorries taking produce from the land to get produced then the production itself making plastic or glass bottles or jars its a catch 22 would probably be best to just leave the land natural and not touch it. Wish you all the best with the project.
I would love to chip in andy. I love what you and Mrs. AAR have done for all of us.
Nothing wrong with trying but you can't possibly plant enough trees to make any measurable difference whatsoever. Team Trees failed to make any difference with 20 million trees.
From small acorns big oak trees grow…. alternatively one can just sit on one’s arse and leave it up to someone else, I’m just the arse who is prepared to do something and die with a clear conscience at least. Stay safe Andy.
Donation made. Come on chaps chuck a few Bob in
The tipping point has been reached around 20 years ago, so wouldn’t it be more logical to put some resources in helping the human race survive a changing world?
£ 🎉 on way.
Oh dear; Andy, I have to ask this vital question.
Do you understand the effects of lowering Co2 atmospheric content?
The naturally sustainable level for atmospheric Co2 is established by science to be between 1950 and 3200 ppm. (Parts Per Million)
Efforts over the last 30 years have brought this down to today's figure of 421 ppm! This is worrying, because along with the reduction in Co2, we are seeing a massive increase in extinction. Many animals, insects, birds and fish are acfected, as are thousands of plants and trees. Effectively, we are radically interfering with nature in a very negative way. There is only one outcome from the drastic lowering of Co2. Once it's natural level becomes low enough that it cannot recover - EVERYTHING DIES!
Nothing can survive, no life form can recover for at least a couple of thousand years - if ever! So be careful what you wish for.
Planting ttees such as Willow, Silver Birch and fruits will use Co2 to grow; it is, after all, known as "the gas of life". Fortunately, all tree species produce large quantities of natural Co2 as they reach maturity. Grasses, soils, undergrowth etc., also both need and produce Co2, this, in turn supports insects, grubs, burrowing animals and flowers. Bees will thrive if you put hives in your fruit orchards and, as I'm sure you know - no bees = no life!
So your ixea to use up precious Co2 may well result in producing more Co2 than it destroys. Therefore; it's a brilliant idea with huge benefits to our world. Remember:-
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
Wide words indeed.
Well done Andy.
Drink 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
As a director of an ESG and Carbon offset company I support this 100% and have just made my first donation. Well done Andy and happy to help in anyway we can.
Thank you very much. Be careful what you offer, I/we are likely to ask for advice. we have asked for your contact details directly from the website. once again many thanks. Andy
Your more than welcome and we will be happy to help where we can
Thanks

OK I'll come right out and say it , net zero is impossible in practice and in my humble opinion offers more chances, as a concept, for manufacturers of everything from underpants to automobiles to present us with more smoke and mirrors and reasons why we should purchase their product rather than someone else's.
However and only because I believe and trust you can do what your proposing , I'm in.
PS hydrogen it's a petrol heads dream come true , thank you Mr Toyota.
Now wheres that damn bacon !
Dave
Andy, have you braced for the backlash from the large subset of airgunners that are shirking gammony bigots? They're not gonna like this! 😂
🤦♂️🤦♂️
Turn it into a charity to get Gift Aid recovery
Tony P
Lets ban guns that use Co2!
Yeh let’s ban pcp rifles 😅😅😅
While I admire your principles I would council against apple trees. Please learn from my mistakes.
20 years ago I was left some land and like you decided to plant apple trees, collect the apples and make cider.
The resulting orchard was easy to maintain at first but year by year it grew harder and harder.
100 apple trees, a dozen or so plums, a row of soft fruits and a couple of sweet chestnut trees are more demanding than a whole truck load of puppies!
Harvest time is the worst! Not only do you have to gather the fruit over a 3 month period you then have to feed them through a scatter and finally through a press which is never big enough and is more akin to a medieval torture device.
Still, there is the cider......
Your friends will flock around after all the hard work is done. They'll drink it once and then never come back! I've still got 120 gallons from 2017!
My advice is to grow the willow.
You have 239k subs on here alone. If we only give £1.00 each....
I'm in...
Thanks
Morning all
