All of these would have been easier if you’d soaked the seeds overnight first, the seeds benefit being under a weight too to simulate being under soil, it drives the roots downwards towards the water, I don’t ever bottomwater until a good 3-5 days in, also complete darkness until the roots have driven down enough.
Thanks for checking out our video! I agree that soaking the peas and sunflowers seeds definitely helped germination in traditional soil set up. You may have missed that part of the video. It went by pretty fast. The other sets in water are hydroponic kits. They are designed to grow in water, and were super fun to work with and grew really fast. Now I always keep one in production. Between growth check-ins, some of the kits are kept in darkness before they sprout to mimic nature. I guess I could have elaborated on that more. Since the focus was on trying new kits. I only mention it in passing. I'm glad to hear you also enjoy growing microgreens. It was a lot of fun to try out different kits and growing methods after years of doing it the old fashioned way. Good luck and happy growing!🌱
Thanks for checking out the video. The hydroponic kits and most of the seeds I used were from True Leaf Market: bit.ly/3XKunPz. The soil tray set and some of the seeds were from Botanical Interests: bit.ly/3TjzuT0
Thanks lots of helpful info
Glad you enjoyed the video!🌱
