This was November 21-23! Conditions do vary each year and the lake was frozen by November 25 as it happens very fast. In prior years it had been frozen earlier too. Fingers crossed for you!

Would Plain of the Six Glaciers be a good day hike? I am visiting in March and can't wait!
I havent done it myself but I've heard great things! Just make sure you have traction devices for your shoes at that time of year :)
