I always view a rematch clause like an insurance policy. Just in case the first fight doesn’t go as they planned lol cause not all fights need a rematch we seen that with Haney-Kambo.
But kambosos deserved that rematch. Kambosos is the only lightweight who just won the titles and wanted to get it cracking with a top 3 lightweight in his first title defense. Put some respect on that man’s name. He knew Haneys style and size would be super difficult. But he’s a true champ who went for it anyways. Haney was not his mandatory. He could’ve done what all the other kids have been doing which is easy title defenses to beef up his resume.

I’m not even mad at the rematch clause he wants because it’s a big fight, but there should be some stipulations in it because if Tank wins easily and decisively there’s no need for them to waste time with a rematch like Haney and Kambosos.

This fight can go to Ryan only if he use his reach stay on the outside Move jab and keep Gervonta out, power shot from the outside. It won't be easy but lately I have seen Gervonta seem to have struggle a bit when the longer reach fighter keeps his distance. It only when the fighter get overly aggressive and loose his focus game plan that Gervonta will get his chance. As for Gervonta he just need to keep clam, look for his shot and get that uppercut or overhand left and it's game over for Ryan. Both fighter are great,both has hand speed and power. It will come to who can execute their game plan better. For Ryan it will be a new chapter in his career, and for Gervonta it will truly shows why he's one of the best in his weight class.
