They did actually get quite a lot of attention, more than a lot of debuts. Their MV is really really well and it actually got its most views a few days after release, so people really spread the word and many people got exposed to it. Hopefully they will get more in the future though they deserve it!

I feel like the company did that for contrast, but I didnt like that. I also dont think it fit the choreography where they had to be on the floor. if im right (probably not) in think I understand what they were going for tho. and the outfits were beautiful, I liked the teal setting too, it just looked too formal.

Easily the most surprising song on 2020 for me, I had zero expectations and they put out a song that is currently a top5 release right now in a stacked year. This is very SM reminiscent and I am LIVING for it, those synths in the prechorus are to die for.
Things to know: All but two of the members are former members of the group good day which unfortunately disbanded without ever coming back after debut the member Bella is half Filipino half Korean and many of them participated in the survival show the unit
I had the same thoughts about the outfits... Cignature is new, but not really. They debut in 2017 under the name "Good Day" under C9 (same company as CIX) with more members. They released one song called "Rolly" and it was a bright and almost cutesy concept. Though now, they changed the member lineup and are now rebranded and still under C9.

Agreed with your inputs about the MV being slow and the song is fast phase. When I first watched this MV it really felt like that especially the parts when they changed between room in pre chorus.
Imo best debut of 2020 so far. I don't remember liking a debut song in the last year this much. The music video however, I had the exact same thoughts. It was filmed expertly but the creative director isn't the most imaginative person on the planet. Imo having a good creative director might be even more important than the best production house because concepts/stories/atmosphere are ultimately what make music videos memorable. The song though--- that's one tight production. The composers really know what they're doing.

I've grown to love these girls through their live stages so much! You should definitely check it out live, they're great at live vocals and the outfits are better for a lot of the live stages too. Although I liked the black outfits in the MV I agree that they didn't really suit the concept well. However, I do think you should give the song another listen PD! I love how like gritty and almost dirty the bass sound is in the song and provides a nice contrast to their cutesy high pitched vocals, that's what really kept me listening to it was the unique bass line. As for further info on the girls, 5 of them used to be in a 10 member group called Good Day, and I believe at least 3 of them participated in "The Unit" with the blonde member Jiwon/Jeewon almost making it to the final lineup but she came in 11th place (only the top 9 made it to the debut group UNI.T). Thanks for checking them out though, hopefully people will stop sleeping on them and their next release is just as good if not better!!! ^^

ARIA means Arirang literally ''an unofficial national anthem'' and also its a folk song (thats why the lyrics are kinda weird and don't match with the MV) And the MV is related to Korean history; some members like the first to sing (WooAh) refer to Queen Min - she was killed by japanese ronins the second girl, Hyejin, represents a female activist considered a heroine in Korea. She was arrested, tortured, and died in jail some time later. then ChaeY (Pink Hair) represents the Heaven Lake of North Korea. its a very sacred mountain The 4th member Swan refer to the Candlelight Vigil And the last one but no less important, Karin. She represents the geobukseon (or turtle ship) that sanked a lot of enemy ships in the past.
