I’ve done Williams, Middle Fork, & Nambe. I camped last June for a week in along the Rio Santa Barbara at Hodges CG and focused on hiking into the Pecos from there. Really bummed that I didn’t put aside a day or 2 to hike to Trampas as that might be the most beautiful of all. That Katherine hike looks like quite an adventure with stunning views!
Thanks! More hikes to add to my list. Have you been to Truchas Lake from Jack's Creek? There's a nice loop trail for a multi-day trip I've had my eye on, but a bit on the long side. I will need to find a week to commit to it.
Thanks. That is a pretty ambitious loop! From what Ron said, that area between Truchas and Trampas lakes is nothing but scree so it looked pretty difficult. If you do it, check back in here and let us know how it went!
FYI: All 6 of these Alpine Lakes are at altitudes over 10,000', so if you are coming from out-of-state be prepared!
Beautiful! I just love The Land of Enchantment!
Thank you for watching!
San Leonardo Lakes are nice. Heart Lake in the Latirs is a good one.
Yeah, so many to see here in NM. Thanks for watching!

Wow! Nice. Yeah, there are so many here in NM. We are sooooo lucky! Thanks for watching.
Spectacular lakes have never been to an alpine lake. Will put it on my bucket list. Lol
We never thought about them either until we did Nambe Lake hike. That changed it for us. Thanks for watching!
Nice! Great video idea.
Thank you!
