As if it’s not insane enough how talented all these musicians and singers and arrangements are, then Darren gets a hold of the stems and puts his magic into the mixing and creates a masterpiece. Such a dynamic treatment.....the keys are brilliant, Marley style percussion fills, Tzan's guitar tone, Con's bass with more grunt than a wild boar, Jordan's singing...crazy good.

How do you build a global fan base? Playing and performing absolute perfection over and over and over and over again. That's why audiences will never be disappointed when they see HSCC live.
Bass was just awesome. Vocals, what can I say.
I have played this track on drums many times in different formats and this is a great version. HSCC are always good and this is no exception but bear in mind that there are 7 musicians on stage here as opposed to 3 in the original 3 Police. I am 64 and remember all the Police records from way back. If it wasn't for original acts like them, cover bands wouldn't exist but HSCC are one of the best of course.

C'mon people....it's not The Police, its the HSCC version of the Police classic. Bigger sound, tasty.added riffs, unique arranging and a laid back feel. Multiple listens required to take in the layers. A+ Darren & crew.
@Tiger Hawkz - Agreed. This is to be appreciated as a re-working, rather than a cover. I am a big fan of #HSCC, and admire the always tight drums and percussion of Messrs Todd & Todd. But ... it doesn't work as a cover as there is no reggae-style backbeat (bass-drum strike on the third beat rather than the second and / or fourth), which was the hallmark of Stewart Copeland on all the early Police tracks.
@@rogeroliverbennett65 I totally agree with you as a drummer myself of over 30 years that struck me straight away. Not taking away from the guys great take on the song. Its their version so I completely respect the musicianship.

Coming from one drummer to another, that drum track was fantastic. Probably the best drum part I have seen in all your videos. Bass was killer too. That was amazing as usual.

Love what the basisst is doing; It’s almost like he’s leading the band with his melodic playing in this track. So much feel and brilliant dynamics. Love the arpeggio’s from the guitarist (pink strat). Drummer is tighter than a zipped pocket! I’ve probably listened to this about 10 times now. Just inspires me as a bassist myself!

The Police is an INCREDIBLE band, I love it, and you guys knocked out hard on this one! Thank you for being a huge part of my happiness in these particularly troubled times! this drummer is the best I have listen in a long time
Everybody doing their job extremely well but stand out mention goes to Con this week. People say he gets a great sound and he does - it's all in the fingers (and thumb). Top drawer.

It's very cool!!! This most melodic, at the time that sting recorded was only Bass, Guitar, Drums and of course vocal, but with the HSCC Band it gave an extra spice !!!

I saw the Police do this live in their prime and can honestly say you all completely smashed their take on it into a million pieces . Took things to a whole new level of energy and musicianship.
