@@conduzcoavatar yes even if he takes the knight with the rook it doesn't allow queen toh h file bcz light bishop is hanging and comes with check then defend the mate or check engine shows that all variations leads to draw but he blunders in time pressure.

I think white should have played Qb8+, this prevents black queen getting to the h column.
