Just got back from Pattaya Songram was cancelled and I didn't see any water all the time I was there, nothing like it used to be, but it is getting busy more, and I had a great time was good to be back.

Many folk preferred the Autumn Loy Krathong festival where the Krathongs were floated on the tide and Chinese lanterns sent airborn in spite of police bans. Many bar ladies hired beautiful traditional dresses for the event .
I knew lots of folk avoided coming over during Songkran as it get quite over the top at times.I used to put my phone in a water proof bag and take my chances!
