Sorry for the delay just did a search and found your post. How many days did it take you to go from Kingston to Ottawa… Did you have any rest or weather days? Thanks!
@@leoburns9674 I paddled on six days, starting on Friday afternoon in Kingston, spending the last night at Black Rapids, which is already in Ottawa. My last day was mostly on the Ottawa River finishing on Petrie Island. The weather was great and didn't interfere with my progress. No rest days on this relatively short journey. Here's the map of my trip www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1bIGoepeJ0ixuNrj_76IFFbemKIE&usp=sharing
Super gorgeous area. Flying between TO and Montreal (especially on approach to MTL) I would see the intricate waterways below and wondered what they were like. Now I know. Thanks Ken!
8:39 C'mon, stop sugar coating the whole experience.... You ran the best class five rapids in the most gorgeous places in the world and you are really, honestly, impress with this shitty canal??????? I like your positivism, and your whitewater instructional video you did in the past, but that was a bit too much... With great regrets, thumbs down for me.
I just paddled from Kingston to the Ottawa River (Petrie Island) this Summer in a kayak. This brought back to mind nice pictures.
I'm jealous. I haven't done the full trip yet. It's on my list!
@@PaddleTV I did a presentation to my local paddle club and put it on UA-cam in case you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/mr8VYGD2mGo/v-deo.html

Awesome Ken. I'd love to see a video of you starting @ Kingston and working your way up to Upper brewers lock and beyond.
Scenic - teaming with life - not crowds - this is my kind of paddling...love your presentations...enjoyed this!
Thanks, Lin! Same here!
I grew up in Ottawa, on the bank of the Rideau, so really enjoyed this video.
Very cool! Glad to hear you enjoyed the video!
R9C .
Love it! Great to see more episodes in this series! Looking forward to more videos
More to come! :)
What I like about Ken the most is he is not a kayak snob. This coming from a guy who is a world champion.
Yeah
Just for your information, it is Smiths Falls...not Smith Falls
Doh! Yes, it most certainly is. Thanks for mentioning.
Great video 🙂
Thank you 😁
I want to do this :)
Inspiring
