We had a great week, thanks! The system is a mixture of lakes and canals. I haven't seen the canals in the UK, but I look forward to going through them one day soon! It would be fun to compare.

We did this in June. Anytime between late June and August is where you'll have the best weather. But we also did one in September for fall colours and it was awesome too! ua-cam.com/video/qzPk7Y2n0O8/v-deo.html

Looks awesome! I have been looking at all these great trips on canals in France, UK and Eris Canal - this is the first I have seen in Canada. But why on the company's website is the Canada trip SO MUCH more expensive? Probabaly the size of boat but would be nice to have some cheaper options.

Yes, we had a larger boat but there are smaller ones for rent and Le Boat is having a sale until the end of July. Plus Planet D followers receive an extra $100 off bookings with Le Boat if booked before August 30, 201. Use Promo Code DD50, DD100 when booking

I love that idea of Le Boat. Even I could (maybe) manage to drive a boat with extra thrusters and bumpers and whatnot. I wonder if they have something like that in Sweden... And so much fun to see and do along the route in that canal! It seems to be roughly as long as Göta kanal in Sweden. Some day I should explore our canal - I'm getting inspired by watching this.

You really can drive it! I was nervous, but after the lesson and using the thrusters I felt very confident. We didn't even need the bumpers. (although that made it very comforting to know that they were there if we did hit the dock a little too hard. The Göta kanal looks awesome. We'd love to explore more of Sweden too! Thanks for watching.

@@ThePlanetD Sounds comforting! :D I really would like something like that, but Swedes are all gung ho on sailing properly and learning things the proper way etc. Dammit, I just want to go on a boat without getting a skipper's license or anything like that :)

@@ThreeStarVagabond It's true! Even here in Canada, people said we were cheating, but I say, "if we aren't bumping into things we can't hurt other boats or docks around us and that's a good thing. As our instructor said "use the tools you have" so if Thrusters make it easy, I'll take it. Haha.

@@ThePlanetD Haha, I fully agree! Why waste time not using all the convenient tools available - there's no shame in trying to have an easier time if the technology is there :)
