If they implemented the trade system in-game in a legitimate way this issue wouldn’t be as egregious. Personally I am fine with the best most useful equipment being that which was crafted either by yourself or some random person who got lucky or put in the currency. But being able to trade without doing back alley deals essentially would be great.
It does feel off balance, you get given all these crafting items but then have to desperately search the trade site for a weapon that is pretty rubbish but has good damage rolled due to the drops being so bad, even with rarity rolled on most items when farming.
Not a hot take bro I'm trying to tell people they don't understand you got goofy streamers talking about how item rarity is to high an the don't realize 99 percent of raw drops are trash...
The expedition currency is used for more than just purchasing an item. You look for an item that is decent, and then the "purchase" option opens a crafting window where you RNG craft the item with the expedition currency.
People say they don’t like the trading system but I honestly think it’s one of the most fun parts of the game lol. Also to people saying you wish there was an auction house where you can just buy the listings automatically you are ASKING for bots to ruin the economy and eventually lose money due to not getting notified that you listed something underpriced. There’s a reason blizzard auction houses are terrible and have a huge bot problem. POE 2 trading system is good
There are many websites who sell divines, exalted etc. for real money in real auction houses. Mirrors of Kalandra are offered between 900 and 1.500€/$ for one mirror. And you think an ingame auction house where you can trade for ingame currency is a problem or create bots? People who actually are ready to invest real money for a game currency/ items will do it anyway. It just takes more time and effort to buy the actual items with the currency you bought with real money. But you can still do it easily. And the guys using bots still make real money. But for all the people who just wanna trade with the things they actually found themselfs, it just gets far more annoying and time consuming without a proper ingame trading tool
Unpopular opinion: Trading should not be all but required to get through the game without smashing your head against a wall. It should be a bonus to get through in a quicker way. Items drops are atrocious, I simply cannot find Quarterstaves, let alone on par with my level and enough Exalteds to experiment with
I wouldn't say "NEVER" use your Exalted orbs. I bought a quarterstaff for 1 Ex and 2 added modifiers from Ex orbs turned it from a decent boost to my originally subpar damage to a allowing me to cut through most tier 10 bosses in 2 tempest bell rotations.
I just want to say, I’m glad they launched the game with an at least semi decent trading system ready for use. Imagine this RNG issue WITHOUT trading available.
They need to make good drops more common. Shouldn't need to grind 100 hours for 1 piece of gear or default to trading. Still have a level 6 mace cuz i havent found a single other one with + spirit.
you mean a scepter? Pretty sure spirit doesn't roll on a mace. Check vendors every time you level up, I've leveled 4 characters now and often see decent spirit rolls on scepters/gear from vendors
I never really thought about it, but Poe2 is slightly pay to win. Yes you can farm anything, but with the low rng it's almost impossible to obtain enough currency to buy any good end game items, let alone an entire outfit. Unless you sell good finds you can't use... And there the game becomes pay to win. You need a premium tab and that can only be bought with coins (real money). So without spending real money it will become almost impossible to really thrive in end game activities.
you got at least 300 premium coins for buying the game, there was a stash tab sale recently where you could've got enough tabs to sell items. Even if you didn't, currency exchange makes it pretty easy to liquidate any early divines you found when first entering maps. I sold 3 divines for exalts to buy gear, no stash tabs necessary
I'm on PlayStation 5 and I have no problem trading gear I sold three pieces yesterday you just need to buy the premium stash tab put it in there and when they contact you in the comments you invite them to your party and then trade it's very simple
@Listen2wice I believe it's r3 and left on the d-pad when you have pieces in the tab. in the middle of that tab should be a thing that says private set to public. Once you set to public right of that box another box should open up where you set set price.
@Listen2wice I've only figured out how to set the price for the entire premium tab. Not the pieces individually unfortunately. So I have two premium tabs when I put exalted orbs and the other regals
Trading should never be a game requirement. Not saying it is in poe, but it's damn feels like it. I've only traded twice and got scammed on the second. It needs to be a market not a trade. Post your gear in the market, the other player buys it. Boom. No need for the way they do it here. Party invites and all that is sadly a raging boil on the arse of the game. But the game should not be so reliant on trading. It's not a feature.

And what is the fun then, when you don't get the dopamine from getting Uber loot. It's all about the currency, and it's boring as f***.

Click bait video.
Stack item rarity even if it weakens you, do whatever content you can.
saying that 60-70 rarity is best and more is overkill while best players play 400 rarity that have hundreds of divine is crazy to me
man really made a 16 min video of explaining all this irrlevant bs when all he had to say was slam rarity find on all your gear LOL
my thoughts exactly
he gives virtually no tips on how to farm currency other than say stack rarity chance, yea no shit
instead gives a lecture on how to play POE as if we didn't already know
@@kahwigulum virtually every single "advice" or "tip" i get from a youtuber somehow end up in the word "divine".
Clearly he explained more (I.e. how to price items). Not everyone is in the PoE Big Brain club like you guys
@@doxologist it doesnt take a big brain to know the only way to effeciantly farm currency is by stacking rarity. thats common sense.
what a trash channel
Endgame in Poe is biggest joke in arpg ever, there is literally no good drops in arpg game, good job ggg, they only way to get better loot is to craft yet currency drops are bad af, I have 0 fun from this kind of gameplay and decised not to play anymore

game isn't finished, jfc
As soon as I see someone constantly raising the price of an item I just asked to buy I ignore them. Definitely don’t want to do business with someone constantly changing their prices on the fly
It’s genuinely the best way to gauge how much something is though… if I put something up and I get a constant barrage of people whispering me then I know I have it up for way cheaper than it should be, so I raise the price. Rinse and repeat until I don’t get a whisper every second.
@@dennisreynolds1341i do this all the time lol, if im being dm spammed then its something wrong with the price
@@dennisreynolds1341 except that it annoys everyone buying, makes them ignore you - and you still wont know the price. how about actually looking the price up?
Ya its annoying to put in interest and time to buy something only to see it go up in price....I really wish they would just do an auction house so we could see similar pieces and price accordingly and also for sure get it without the back and forth.
@@genesises the problem is the motherfuckers price baiting people into selling for low and then reselling for a lot higuer, im sorry but i will up my price everytime i get dm spammed
Thats a dick move to put something up for sale, get whispers, then delist and relist at a different price.....
Honestly why is it a dick move? If you just couldn't determine its worth accurately why should you sell for alot less than it's worth?
Also if you're rather new you can't possibly have a feeling for what stuff is worth, happens to me too still.
Rage gaming noob advice.
nah
that's the way it works
always has been
Ah, you're one of those jerks who take stuff down and relist endlessly, pissing people off and wasting people's time. =/
