    It's the harsh truth we are facing nowadays 😔 because of this many of us bds graduates feel worthless because at the age of 25 and 26 also we are a burden to our family . This is really disgusting to be a dentist in india.i have lost interest in my field because even illiterate people say that why we call ourselves doctors 😞😞 this is really depressing

    Dental colleges both private and government, should stop bds course for the time being to clear the saturation.

    I am married and have two kids.. my kids needed my attention so after a gap of 5yrs ( have been practicing in between for free) when i want to get back on track i have been working for free since 6 months, now since I don't have much help at home to take care of my kids, i need a nanny to look after my kids who need to be paid a minimum of 8-10k for 6-8hours a day.. 😅 worst part is no one is willing to pay me even 8k as dentist but I have to pay more than that for a nanny... Can you imagine my situation?! I see no way out...

      Really sad to know what you're going through. Its really a tough time for us, the story is similar with most dentists in india. I have seen graduates get 5k-8k in private clinics while the receptionist sitting there getting 10-15k !!

      I have also seen new MDS staff getting 18-20k salary and the technicians of the college get 30k+ salary!!!

    Why is dentistry so saturated and exhausting 😢😢😢 😢

    • @DrTeethAcademy
      @DrTeethAcademy  Рік тому +15

      High number of private colleges with no proper training facility, high number of quacks, rare job opportunities by the govt. The only option left for dentists is to open a private clinic, Saturation is obvious. Cherry on the cake is the patients (in most parts of india) don't value teeth as much as they value other parts of their body. What do we do? A simple graduate is earning more than dentists today!

    Totally relatable words. Students should take charge themselves nbuild a skillset and confidence with which he/she may become a self sufficient clinician as a college passout. All the best👍👍👍

    WHAT!!! FRESH UNDERGRADUATES HAVE TO PAY TO TREAT PATIENTS.... 😰 they should be paid for their service 😐

      Yes, they need to pay if they want to observe a famous clinic and most of them only get to assist or do scaling or may be post op.

    In many clinics they prefer female dentist for associates just for attracting patients but wont pay for the work done ... just exploiting in every way in the name of learning they ll just aak you to hold suction...even many dentist dont know why actually this step is done in the procedure in depth they wnt be able to explain even just like internships...
    And the scenario is even worse for female dentist after marriage as you are dependent..everybody thinks dentistry is just money draining profession...and all sorts of taunts nd ol and thus many even switch to other profession
    Deep down I love dentistry but dnt know what to do after graduating as everyone cant afford mds ...and in the name of exposure in the clinics only exploitation and dental academies charges so high for 2-3 months cousres.

      @DrTeethAcademy  Рік тому +4

      This is the second time i have heard about female preference. Its really shocking and depressing at the same time.

    One reason could be big cities having more Pvt dental colleges and end up having few patients to train students properly....So students after graduating go into clinics to learn work which they should have learnt in their college...
    Sad part is Clinicians should pay for your service but inturn are training you because they know young graduates lack technical skills and skills related to convincing patients for certain treatments...
    But Govt College students don't end up in same way because of good chunk of cases they do and small town clinicians do pay salary for young graduates...in most of the areas.

    What should we do?
    Why they are paying after there graduation?
    Why they are working for free?

    • @DrTeethAcademy
      @DrTeethAcademy  Рік тому +1

      Do they have any other choice? Most Colleges don't provide enough skills and as a fresh graduate many lack confidence to open their clinic right away.

    clinicians don't take money in Kerala but they only pay 8-10 k a month to a fresher. But they do allow them to do basic dentistry including restorations,scalings,radiographs , extractions,composites and as you get better you are left wholly in charge of the clinic at times .. But ya.. tha pay goes up only if you take effort on your side to learn complicated procedures by trying on extracted teeth first and convincing your chief dentist that you can start working on patients ( rct, crown cutting, inlay/onlay). But even when you are good enough,the salary ist still less than 20 k..

    • @VANIPARI
      @VANIPARI 9 місяців тому

      8 to 10 k a month fir fresher is too good. Here even after 10 yrs experience you will not get more than 10 to 12k😢😅

      I am not against paid internships. If someone who has years of experience share their knowledge and patients with you, there's nothing wrong if they wanna get paid for it but the fresh graduates should ask for a written agreement of all skills that the practitioner will teach them so that their invested money is not wasted and they are not exploited.

    This is becoz no regulation on opening college
    They are so many dental colleges n so less jobs this shud be regulated
    Like in ca they have a qouta so that there is no saturation but in dentistry thr is none
