English summary:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Brazilian government decided to close its borders with nine countries (a total area of 17,000km), impacting the migrant inflow towards the country. In this regard, according to the resolution of 17 March 2020, entry to all migrants (of any nationality) was restricted, with the exception of Venezuelan nationals. However, the government’s poor handling of the pandemic, resulted in a significant ever-increasing of infections. In this context, the migrants’ access to health care was not guaranteed.
