    Add an anti-chafe guard to your brake lines. Might help with your concerns of rubbing. Spiroll is a good brand. Great video, awesome flex

    I think that lever thing you mention at 12:00 is for the brakes and it gives more braking force to the rear brakes when it's loaded.

    • @TylerThompson90
      @TylerThompson90  3 роки тому +2

      Yeah okay well if its that I better get that extended bracket for it! haha

      @@TylerThompson90 I wonder if you could have it connected to a cable and a lever inside? talk to a mechanic

    • @bez2992
      @bez2992 3 роки тому +1

      Tyler is right with what he says in the video. The lever is for auto adjusting headlights, as the vehicle is loaded or unloaded the headlights will obviously point upwards or downwards accordingly.
      Not to be confused with a brake proportioning valve (what you are suggesting)
      Brake proportioning valves are used on older, non-abs equipped vehicles and as you say, decrease/increase brake force depending on load, however are a mechanical system. Will be very obvious as it will actually have brake lines coming in and out of the valve and not just a sensor as you see here.
      As you said Tyler it might not be very obvious that the headlights are functioning any different, but getting a bracket will get them working properly again. 👍

    • @bez2992
      @bez2992 3 роки тому

      @@tomschannel5380 What vehicle would that be? All new vehicles have abs, in which case the wheel speed sensor does it's job perfectly.

    • @bez2992
      @bez2992 3 роки тому

      @@tomschannel5380 What Mazda? Recent model as well as current model bt-50s don't (same class of car as Tyler's) So I'm just curious.
      I'm not set on proving anyone wrong, but I can put the correct information out there if people want to hear it. Or people can add a bracket to their headlight levelling sensor and expect the brakes to work better... doesn't bother me.

    Great clip again mate. I think you’ll find if your Nav’ has factory fitted LED headlights, that would be what your sensor is for. Because LED’s are so bright, they must always remain properly aligned otherwise they can be quite dazzling and blinding to oncoming traffic. Hence why it’s illegal to just go and throw a pair of eBay special LED gloves in cars that weren’t factory fitted with them originally, because they often can’t be adjusted properly nor do they have the required headlight washer jets as required under the ADR.
    Good stuff mate, keep up the great work 👍👍

    Tyler, spiral wrap your brake lines and they won't rub. And get the outback armour bump stops

      Okay thanks mate! Ill check them out

    • @bez2992
      @bez2992 3 роки тому +4

      Wrap the brake lines in spiral wrap so then the spiral wrap rubs instead? then it rubs through? then you're back to square one.
      The brake line needs repositioning and/or securing somehow. That is very poor how it is currently.

    Have you looked at putting on a front diff drop kit? You can fit big tyres with standard suspension, then you can set your suspension up with more wheel droop and better handling on and off road.

    Tip with your braided lines at the back, get some fuel hose, cut it down the centre length ways and push it over the braided lines, if the fuel hose slides or moved over the top use 2 cable ties either end. It will be quiet and also protect

  • @yourmotherlovesit
    @yourmotherlovesit 3 роки тому

    The other reason you will need longer bumpstops in the rear is because the shocks will bottom out before the bump contacts if they are 700mm. mine are like 650mm and if it i take the springs out and rest it on the bumpstops the shock only has about 10mm of shaft showing
    Also with the front, you have the balljoint offset towards the front of the car by the looks, ideally you want to have it towards the rear, gives positive caster, better stability on the road and the wheel will want to return to centre
