  • Short answer: use a car jack =)
    Time for some bike maintenance. Covering the transmission part, by cleaning and lubricating the chain and sproket.
    And yes, my bike does need some cleaning on the bottom half, it's all being taken care of.

    Great video man. Just remember to place a piece of cardboard behind the chain infront of the rear wheel to prevent the chain degreaser and chain lubricant from contacting your rear tire as it eill make it very slippery especially when taking a corner.

    after cleaning, making sure no degreaser is on tire, I like to ride the bike with dry chain just a mile or two to heat it up before applying the new chain grease. this makes the grease penetrate better when chain is hot and keeps the chain from slinging the oil all over my rims.

    You have some kinks in your chain. It may be time for a new one.

    You have to replace your chain, it looks like stuck in couple places. Probably o-orings are crusched and it rust inside.

    Interesting. This would certainly work. If you are traveling this would mean you have to drag this car jack around.

    I like this idea. But doesn't it put significant pressure on the kickstand?

    Do you think this would work on a heavier bike? I ride a hayabusa

    • @DanMotoAdventures
      @DanMotoAdventures  7 років тому

      I don't see why not, but i've never tried it on a heavy bike. To be safe, you can place the jack under the lower part of the bike frame and lift it from there, works just as well. =)

    Nice tip, but I think it would be easy just to get a back stand for the bike, it saves you loads of trouble.
    Of course that the back stand is not a practical thing to carry on the bike

      Yeah those stands are the best for this. But it's a problem for people that don't have garages and/or need to carry it to another place like you said. Thanks for sharing =D

    you can easily buy a rear stand at the same price, or cheaper.

    Quantos km tem essa moto? A corrente já tem pontos rijos :o

    • @DanMotoAdventures
      @DanMotoAdventures  7 років тому

      22.000km. A corrente estava bastante seca e solta, depois de oleada já não ficou com as deformações.
