Olympic lifts (both snatch and clean) have three phases to the pull, there's getting bar off the ground and into a good position (the first pull--ground to knees), there's hauling the bar up as hard as you can (second pull--knees to full hip extension), and then once the bar leaves your body, there's pulling yourself under the bar (third pull--from the moment the bar leaves your body until you lock it out overhead)
I know there are other countries who are stronger but I think you guys are doing awesome. I have only just found you guys and I'm wondering do you have video's of your athletes warming up before going for the pr's. It'd be so cool to see what you all do for perfecting your technique. Just wondering.
Really need to see more hip engagement in the dip and drive portion of the jerk... And as the coach is constantly saying, they all need to push their head thru.
grab something unmoveable and sit down in a deep squat. heels on the floor. avoid toppling over by keeping a good grip. get comfortable down there, rock from right to left, from left to right, forward, backward... do this daily for as long as possible several times and always before a snatch/c+j workout. will get better soon.
Don't listen to poor advice on squatting - squatting the way most gym idiots squat is probably bad for your knees, but squatting deep with plenty of hip flexion and upright posture is great.
