Resident Evil Spencer Mansion Mod 2014 Half-Life 2 (Download)

Finally, after eight years this mod is finished.
The mansion and the laboratory are 1:1 copies from the game Resident Evil remake for GameCube, the garden and some other area i have re-interpreted in my own way, both for mapping needs, and for express my creativity.
This mod consists of 8 maps, i used the source engine 2009, so you must have half life 2 episode two installed, nothing else is required.
Installation is simple, decompress the RAR then put the folder "resident_ep2_2014" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods" then restart STEAM, go to your games list, and start the game Resident Evil Mansion.
The mod offers only the exploration of the maps, there are no quests or npc to kill, i'm good at mapping, not to write a story.
To my delight i also added the train from Resident Evil 2, the Galaxie 5000, (nostalgics, weep as well)
Compared to my previous version, i have recompiled all the maps, improved lighting and shadows (lightmap grid is now better optimized), added new maps, film grain, etc.
i need to thanks the guys from black mesa source, because without their models i could never do the lab (i hope they do not get angry). i also took inspiration from their blast pit map to make the tunnel...

Finalmente, dopo 8 anni, la mod è completata.
La villa e il laboratorio sono copie 1:1 tratte dal gioco Resident Evil remake, per gamecube, il giardino e le altre zone le ho reinterpretate a modo mio, sia per esigenze di mapping che per esprimere la mia creatività.
La mod consiste in 8 mappe, ho usato il source engine 2009, quindi avrete bisogno obbligatoriamente di half life 2 episode two installato, non è richiesto nient'altro.
l'installazione è semplice, decomprimete il RAR, quindi mettete la cartella "resident_ep2_2014" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods", riavviate steam, andate nella vostra lista giochi, e avviate il gioco Resident Evil Mansion.
La mod offre solo l'esplorazione delle mappe, non ci sono missioni o npc da uccidere, sono bravo a mappare non a scrivere una trama.
Per mio diletto, ho aggiunto anche il treno di Resident Evil 2, il Galaxie 5000, (nostalgici, è il vostro momento)
Rispetto alla versione precedente, ho ricompilato tutte le mappe, migliorato l'illuminazione e le ombre, (la lightmap grid l'ho ottimizzata meglio), aggiunto nuove mappe, film grain, etc.
Devo ringraziare i ragazzi di Black Mesa Source, perché senza i loro modelli non avrei mai potuto fare il laboratorio, (spero che non si incazzino). ho anche preso ispirazione dal loro blast pit per fare il tunnel...

If any of us ever manage to do it, it HAS to be in the Ozark mountain range down in missouri/ Springfield, MI. That's the place/region that most closely resembles Raccoon City/Arklay Mountains. Make sure to fortify the place though, I hear that place has a lot of tornadoes.

he had a wee bit part on the second floor if you played it the right way. other than that he screws you. yet you still love the big beardy basket.even when he breaks wind on the helicopter escape. barry burton rules.

that's awesome. even after reading the description saying this file has not enemies, I had the constant feelings that a zombie or maybe Lisa Trevor would appear at any moment to rip my face off.

+Graysnake2834 I found out what the problem was your mod isn't broken their is a way to fix it. The problem is Steam did what it always does installs updates and then they don't tell you how to fix all your games/mods until a month later.
Steps:
1. Go to your Steam library, click on games, from the drop menu select tools.
2. In the tool list find "Source SDK base 2013 singleplayer", right click on it, select properties.
3. Go to the BETAS tab, you should see a little down arrow under the "Select the beta you would like to opt into" title, click on it and from the dropdown menu choose "upcoming-" and click close.
4. Steam will download some missing files, when done, restart your steam and launch Resident Evil Spencer Mansion again.
+Graysnake2834 I also wished to ask this as well I am not sure if it will work, but I wish to inquire to another development team. They made a modification called No More Room In Hell.
What I wished to ask them is if they would consider adding your mod to theirs by combing the two together.
That is if it is okay with you of course I could try and send them a message on their UA-cam page.

this has definatly been a long time coming and im glad its here, this mod looks amazing, and i cant wait to download it and take a look at what has been done, a cooler feature uknown if its already there would be to remove the lights and force players to go through it with just a flashlight, that would make for an interesting story apart for the original

Oh I LOVE this! Along with the music/sound effects too, very sinister indeed. Takes me right back to my childhood (that god damn mansion still haunts me to this day!) gonna watch this whenever I'm feeling some Resident Evil nostalgia. It's actually helped me out a little too as I'm attempting to recreate the mansion in Minecraft from memory (and I say "attempt" because even tho I know my way around that mansion like the back of my hand, still, there are a lot of hidden/complicated nooks and crannies) so thank you and I salute you even more for recreating it! Really love this btw! Keep coming back to it again and again as it's perfect for watching late at night when I just want to relax and reminisce about the game or add some atmosphere for reading a Resident Evil book or something. You've done everything so spot on. Just one thing you missed I guess was the garden and landscaping/outdoor parts - heh but I'm pretty sure the entire mansion, all it rooms and even all the underground tunnels and creepy science labs etc are more than enough lol. What a huge undertaking this must have been to get it so accurate, well done! Were there any bits in particular that were difficult to work out or gave you a lot of trouble? Damn you've even added the music and sound effects too, which really gives it that creepy, sinister, night time, Resident Evil kinda vibe (that I just love!). Takes me right back to my childhood - that god damn mansion still haunts me lol - will watch this whenever I'm feeling nostalgic. Just recently finished the game again (like 2 days ago) and I gotta say this is spot on
i so want resident evil 1 remade in a first person shooter game. With today’s improved graphics, This would look so cool with all the zombies, hunters, dogs dubbed in here. And not to mention all the gems, keys, and emblems that you have to find through out the mansion. And finally the tyrant mutant that you have to fight in the laboratory. Imagine how vicious and hard he would be breaking through that capsule tank and tossing wesker aside like a rag doll all over again.
Sir, I commend you this is the best remake of any attempt at a resident evil remake anything (including music) to be had in the history of what its categorized in. Well done!
I've already commented, but again, I must say thank you and well done for this amazing recreation! It is truly incredible what you've done! I've always loved the Resident Evil mansion sooo much so this mean a lot to me. The mansion is so eerie and alive. Can just immerse myself in this and soak up that Resident Evil atmosphere. I watch this a lot at night :-D

i've just watched the whole video, it's super-awesome. aside from nostalgia (re1 and source engine) this work of art is amazing! you've mastered it. i can't test it right now, but when i'll have hl2ep2 installed, i'll spend some time chilling here, reading a book or two.
Dude this is insane, It's freaking massive. So cool dude. Spencer mansion is already nostalgic, eerie, and fun to navigate already, but the whole labyrinth and maze thing make it so intriguing. it would be so exciting to play trying to find your way around and never knowing what's behind the next door. I agree with the guy saying this would be great for gary's mod. Would be a hell of a game of hide and seek! Lol

Damn that's impressive, I am also going to start doing some work on the Spencer Mansion but REmaking a few key rooms in Unreal Engine 4 also based on the REmake's design. I have to admit this is outstanding.

I ask this because I know I don't have enough experience with Hammer to do such things. I just wanted to run that thought by you and many thanks a job well done.
You're right, but i'm good just at create brushes. Structuring a plot, with npc, closed doors, puzzles etc is not my strong point

Jamás imaginé que detrás de esa gran puerta de hierro a un lado de la primera escalera para llegar al laboratorio, fuera para llegar al tren al que nunca puedes acceder en el juego. Y que ese tren seguro es el mismo que llega al Laboratorio de Raccon City en el que viajan Leon y Claire. Simplemente los que inventaron este juego son unos genios.

Usually im not amused by these kind of maps. But using the remake layout makes this version kinda cool. That said, hammer really needs a flag in the npc_zombie entitiey for non-headcrab"ed" zombies.

Was the forest a little denser with more trees of different kind and had the original shape not been too much expanded it would have been even greater fun.

sei un grande cazzo !!! . ci provai anch'io anni fa a riprodurre la villa nel build engine (duke nukem 3d) e cryengine 2 (crysis) ma mi arresi !! . bravo !!!!
grazie! l'engine di duke nukem non lo conosco, ma nel cryengine2 ho fatto un po' di roba, ma è totalmente inadatto a mappare interni, servono tonnellate di modelli custom etc, mentre nel source engine tutto è più facile, è un engine praticamente SOLO per interni, anche gli spazi aperti in realtà sono interni, questo semplifica molto il mapping, poi io mappavo già con il worldcraft per hl1 tipo 15 anni fa, che è praticamente identico ad hammer per hl2

Unfortunately I do not have any knowledge in 3d modeling...
