I'm one of those who is not overly fond of painted furniture; mostly because it is rarely done well, and gives a slap-handed effect. This however is beautifully done, and where the wood shows through gives it a classy bespoke look. I quite like it!

Great job! Very rich looking. You know your audience, we typically don't like paint and you warned us, but this was a commissioned job and you did what the customer requested. I love how you stain the dove tails on the drawers. No worries, we still like you and what you do.

Stunning results.
I’m glad you (and the customer) kept the casters on. As now I’m a single Senior Citizen casters on my dresser mean I can roll it around to change my room up. And, the piece becomes more versatile…move it to other rooms. So I will most always advocate for keeping the wheels on furniture.

This chest of drawers is both lovely and elegant. Your usual highest of standards has been matched once more (of course it has, we would expect nothing less). I so wish other restorers would watch your channel and learn from it. I see many ‘restorations’ where the camera has to be whisked over parts as though we could not spot bad work. This is never the case here. Respect and admiration to you. Daisy, of course made me laugh and brightened my day. Well done once more David and I look forward once more to your next posting.

Not generally a fan of painted furniture, but this works. The blue grey tone is muted and still reveals the underlying wood grain, and enough of the wood itself is left to give the entire piece character. I like the handles, simple and elegant. In the end, if the customer is happy, our opinions don't mean squat.

I made the mistake of reading the comments before watching. It turned out so masculine or is it handsome in look. You kept the older furniture, renovated where needed & gave it LIFE. Blue, wood stain & the new handles. 🇦🇺🙂❤️

As viewers of your channel our personal preference to the colour, finish etc. Is irrelevant, after all wouldn't life be boring if we all liked the same thing..... The customer has dictated her preference and she is having to live with her choice 😊 I like the finished piece x

I love how they turned out. I really love the original handles too. If it were mine they'd be staying. Fabulous. But ya gotta do what the customer wants. You did a great job. I have a jar of fusion midnight blue for painting my son's dresser. I'm stocking up on iron on veneer too - I have cherry and I have two different contrasting woods in my amazon basket. Gonna do herringbone with the veneer on the drawer fronts too. Have to strain the paint as one of the kitties slapped it onto the ground, lid flew off (brand new jar) paint went flying up my newly painted kitchen cupboards and all over the lino floor. Ya never saw someone dive so quick to start scooping the paint back into the jar. One hand scooping while the other rooted for a soup spoon!! Yeah, it needs straining now before it's used!!! Gotta love our animals, even though I'm certain the little monkey knocked it on purpose and enjoyed watching the clean up!! Love the navy with that warm stain. Giving me ideas now...
😂😂😂 I can actually see you on your knees frantically saving the paint 😂😂 it’s not cheap and I’d definitely do the same. Cats can be cheeky little things, my sister has two and they are real characters. Good luck with the paint straining 😂👍

It is solid paint. It’s painted with thin sprayed coats so you can still see the wood grain texture 😀👍

This really turned out nice. The brown stain went really well with the blue that you picked also. I myself like the lighter woods like while oak, just because it lightens up the space and I usually live in small places lol. Those handles are cool, not for everyone but I like them. It's David, correct? I loved the paint, the color you chose and the dark stained areas of the dresser David. With the silver and glass drawer pulls I think you fulfilled the owners' request of blue and silver. And in some of the photos of the completed restoration the wax you brushed on the entire piece made the blue paint looked like a satin finish.
