      $10,000 for their mid-range table would be better spent invested in a nice index fund. 20 years from now that investment will triple in value. Unfortunately, the table will depreciate, and will eventually be sold for $200 at an estate sale by your kids when you pass on.

    • @bnorberg988
      @bnorberg988 5 років тому +8

      @@TheDudeAbides-247 Certainly true.
      Of course the table may be a a better investment than 99% of the cars out there. Just take a look at Antiques Roadshow. This table is arguably a work of art, and has very low production numbers. In 20 years you may have stayed evenish or gained. I doubt you can say that about a 2019 Hyundai Sonata. And when you factor in insurance maintenance and gas,....well cars are money losers.
      Of course the real question is; Which will bring you better memories?
      It's a personal lifestyle choice.
      Game playing with your friends or driving a car.
      I'll take my friends, the table, and a bicycle.

    It's gorgeous but I just can't justify 5,000 dollars for a table...and that's without chairs, I don't make lawyer/doctor money.
    I bought a nice 36x60 table with 4 chairs and a bench from Ashely furniture with free shipping for $550.00 then built a topper with lumber and stain from Lowe's, felt from Jo Ann's and cupholders from Amazon....total about $800.00 its a very nice setup for the blue collar gamer.

      @@robertbell874 you just get a nice sheet of plywood get really good stuff so it's flat and smooth have Lowe's cut it to the dimension of your desired pit size plus eight inches in width and length. Sand it smooth, order felt and padding from Jo Ann fabrics put it over this and glue and staple from the back this is really a two person job. Then cut 1by4 pine boards and build a frame around the top and bottom of the plywood on top this is your hand rail on bottom it keeps it from sliding on your kitchen table (buy a cheap tablecloth so the kitchen table doesn't get scratched)...then get those poker table cup holders from Amazon and a holesaw bit and drill and the right size holes.

      @Mason Johnson
      If you go into the actual item section, you have to choose your wood type and Red Oak (the least expensive) is $5000 USD, with figured Myrtle being $15000 USD.
      And you were right the first time that a person can make their own table; it may not always be feasible depending on space available, etc.. but if you already have your own garage, then sure. It'll just take you time after you get the materials... and at the end of the day, you'll probably never reach the $5000 starter price tag of this table.

People that play Pen and Paper RPGs and board games are a niche market. Maybe if a serious gaming club raised money for this it "might" be feasible. there are videos of how to build your own table for the cost of the dm tray (~$150). so.... ya.
    beautiful stuff though, and i know that the materials are expensive and the skilled woodwork is appreciated... just too rich for my blood.

      I mean, you're already spending at minimum $5000 on this table.. you had better be putting it in it's own room.

    These guys are true craftsman. This is a table you will hand down to your kids and grand-kids. If you can't afford very high quality furniture, there are tons of DIY tables on YT for a few hundred bucks to less than $1K. Build your own.

    This is a piece of fine furniture made from solid hardwood(and lots of it), has a custom mechanical lift, some pretty hard to find features as well as a lot of design. Oh, It's also made in the US. Try to find a quality solid walnut dining table for under $3,000, you will get what you pay for. And to those saying they would DIY one, give it a shot! It can be done and it's a very rewarding endeavor but it's also very expensive, time consuming and labor intensive.
    Bottom line is this, some people think a fancy sport car with all the bells and whistles is a waste of money. Some people see the value in the high performance and are willing to pay for it. This isn't a table made for everyone and you should be OK with that. They aren't ripping anyone off, it's fairly priced, and they offer tables that meet all your gaming needs while sporting a much lower price tag.

      actually, it is very reasonable for a "custom made" piece of this quality. People are paying 2k$ for slabs that take like a day to make. This is much more involving!

    One question with this is, since its quite a different size compared to dice towers and dice vaults, will it ship internationally?
    I am not from the US and even if it does ship, does somebody still come to set it up or will that service fall away by ordering internationally?
    Will there be an option to ship it in seperate pices for building it up yourself?
    Anyways a fantastic Product that i truly think every gamer dreams off.
