    In this video I will show ,how to provide reinforcement in simply supported beam.
    .Beams are the horizontal members of a structure which are provided to resist the vertical loads acting on the structure. So in order to maintain the efficiency of a structure, it is necessary to provide the proper size of a beam to resist a given set of loads. The size of a beam i.e., Depth & Width depends on the length available for casting the beam.
    Where, D = Depth of Beam- Top cover - Bottom cover
    For calculating the depth of a beam using the thumb rule, we use the formula;
    Depth of Beam = L/10 to L/12
    Where L = Clear span of the beam.
    By the term ‘’clear span’’ we mean the column inner to inner distance.

    in Simply supported beams the moment at the supports are (0) and doesn't need top reinforcement unless it's fixed or continues (not simply supported) under gravity loads, please make sure before sharing online as many people will follow you.
