This 1km distance is far closer than Awana Genting cable car if want to build cable car instead. It will be the world busiest international cable car line.

If Singapore is still within Malaysia, there won't be the Tebrau Straits anymore, it will be reclaimed. Singapore will ceased to be an island.

It wont help much, the throughput is too low. During 5am to 7am 2 hours span, there are huge amount of commuters. Plan B is required, convert existing KTM track to MRT track, integrate both checkpoints.

Rts can do 10, 000 pax per hour. Sure?? How about the number clearance gates? 100, 1000, 10,000? Wonder what will be the targeted transaction per second kpi agreement for the public?

i mean they could just build like a proper walkway. its just a 1KM crossing. I am still confused why singapore & malaysia did not allowed people to just walk to cross the border.

Yup, just add travelator like the one we use at the airport. Cheaper n lower maintenance cost.

An underground walking hall tunnel. It's just 1km if u ever use boarder walk to cross to sentosa from vivo city literally it's that kind. Or underpass tunnel at marina bay to mrt station

The problem is always with Malaysia. Johor government wanted Singaporeans to come to boost their economy, but the politicians always use Singapore as a punching bag when comes to election. Some Johor Malaysians also always complained that Singaporeans is the reason for the high cost of living in Johor & this becomes the perfect excuses for Malaysian politicians to play politics.
During covid when Singaporeans can no long travel to Johor, Malaysians again complained that Singaporeans were not coming causing economic losses & many people lose their jobs.
Malaysia's change of mind is as quick as a flipping a switch. One minute they wanted to improve the transit between Singapore & Malaysia but the next minute they changed. Just like the KL-Singapore High Speed Rail project, Malaysia's wishy washy & changing of minds within minutes is just frustrating.

Border crossing between countries, the biggest in Asia and probably the entire world, except US-Mexico; but that when all the many crossing points were taken into accounts.
