I can’t stand how much of cherry picking clown Skip can be. He keeps bringing up Jokic and Embiid’s REGULAR season matchups, in which Embiid outplayed Jokic. Never mind Embiid somehow NOT being “able” to play the last 2 seasons in Joker’s house, to run it back and go up against Jokic again. Never mind that Jokic’s value is most evident in TEAM success, then individual display. Never mind that Jokic knows what it’s like to be an NBA champion AND finals MVP, beyond just a REGULAR SEASON MVP, while Embiid is yet to experience a conference finals appearance. Skip’s takes are so easily refuted with basic contextual facts, that it blows my mind that the other guys let him get away with it.

Shai (30.1ppg, 5.5 reb/g, 6.2ast/g, 53.5%fg, 35.3%3pt, 2.0stl/g), Jokic (26.4ppg, 12.4reb/g, 9ast/g, 58.3%fg, 35.9%3pt, 1.4stl/g). Both played identical minutes per game, 34 and 34.6. Both played between 70-76 games each. So, yeah, overall Jokic has the slight edge. Stephen A just feeling a type a way cause Jokic getting outplayed in the playoffs. Well guess what, this is is not a post-season award. OKC got better after they added Chet.

Shai - 22-23: 31.4 PPG/4.8 RPG/5.5 APG/51%/34.5% 3PT, 23-24: 30.1 PPG/5.5 RPG/6.2 APG/53.5%/35.3% 3PT... did he get better?? Significantly enough to have "lead" a team to a higher seed?? You can absolutely point to his teammates getting better, not him.. and please spare me the "he makes his teammates better" argument.. you think he's personally responsible for J Williams improvement?? Lu Dort's defense?? Chet?? They have a great coaching staff making this team better.. the MVP is no longer about who's the best player.. it's about who has the better team around him.. Take Shai off the Thunder, and they still make it to a top 4-5 seed.. Take Jokic off the Nuggets, they still finish as a 7-10 seed.. Take Luka off the Mavs and they're a lottery team.. yes, even with Kyrie because the rest of the team is inferior to the Wolves/Thunder/Nuggets rosters.. Luka and Kyrie are carrying that team.. and without one or the other, they're a bad team..
