How to fix a fidget spinner that won't spin

- My aluminum tri-spinner ( amzn.to/2pteqdO ) just wouldn't spin for more than a few seconds. There was clearly a rub that was stopping the bearing from doing its job. This is my 5-minute fix.
This is a popular problem with spinners: you drop it and the bearing goes out of alignment. The bearing is probably fine, and the hand spinner is probably fine, but the bearing placement is off. If you have a spinner like the Torqbar ( • Torqbar comparison: Ti... ) with a pressed bearing it'll be fine after a drop, but a Tyzest ( • Video ) might not. Not big deal, they are fixable!
This is just a quick fix. I'll do a video in the future about more permanent solutions if people care. (Please show your care with comments or subs.)

I ended up dropping it a few times when I first got it, and it started messing up, and slowing down on one side like yours did in the video. Very good mod. I have tried it on the male portion of the button to reduce the wobble and increased the spin time by 30 seconds.

I didn’t even have to put tape on mine. I just took it out, got too lazy to find tape, put it back in and it worked! Thanks! I didn’t even know that part came out! 😊

I've just drilled the retaining shoulder out of mine so it's just a straight 'tube', centralised and Loctited the bearing in ...works a treat :-) It was fun going back to my old aluminium cheapy spinner having removed/replaced the bearing a few times on my Rotablade Tri Stubby ;-)

Mad Rocks try Acetone it will dissolve super glue and it will clean it i got super glue on the ball bearing and it didnt spin well so i put it in the acetone and it helped to remove it

i did fix it in a other metod... i took out the bearring and put it in a cup with diesel and the i took it upp and to a hairdryer ( you can also use a air compressor) and blow on the bearing, boom fixed and it makes less sound
All I had to do was pull it apart and put it back together again, I had the same issue with the bearing moving, but after putting it back together, the shifting bearing stopped and it was fine. I think my caps are now tighter too

Not having access to his spinner I can't really tell for sure but.....if you look at the two caps over the bearing, they have different collars around the screw/nut centers, and the bearing housing has different sides. One is wider/open rather than the other narrower/closed side. I think he's just got the caps in backwards. I think if he puts the screw side of the cap into the bottom, closed side of the spinner & the nut side of the cap on top of the side of the spinner where the bearing drops in, he'll solve his problem without the tape.
hey dude nice tutorial it worked for me but i also had my own way around it too :D
i took out the bearings then i put masking tape around the bearing then i trimmed the edges after that i peeled the masking tape off and because of the glue on the tape it stuck in the spinner and it does not wobble anymore :D but thanks for the help i did use some of your techniques as well
Mine is an chrome colored spinner, aluminum made but has trouble spinning on one side (quite like yours) but it comes with a washer for that side. I'm thinking I should just get another washer but also not sure if it will help at all

A few weeks back i got this spinner and it was smooth and ran for 4:18 mins and now runs for 30 sec and sound grainy and feels rumbled

u can also pull the bearing..push it and that method also u can spin...in that but on table it will spun soo much time 2:37 secs but my spinner time 5 mins..

i ordered a metal fidget spinner but it came with the standard black and silver bearings on the outside, i'm trying to remove them but they seem to be stuck, any help please???
mine came with a screw on spacer to hold the bearing in and stop the thumb grips from scratching up the spinner and spinning right.

Also if you carry it in your pocket alot, check inside for pocket lint interfering with the bearing. That was my issue.

Tools I need to fix my fidgets: hacksaw, sledgehammer, blow-torch, 44 magnum and a brick. I need the brick for the more delicate work.
So, I recently got a metalic spinner like that one (I only say "metalic" bc I don't know if it's made of brass, aluminum, steel, etc), and it stopped spining properly. It`s just like this golden spinner you showed in there (it has the same type of bearing held in place by a "collar" just like that one), only it has the round design of a more common hand spinner. I believe it has stopped spinning because that collar became loose and it`s going "up", moving out of place mid-spin. Does this fix works for this case or do I need do fix it another way?

but my other spinner spins at three mins but its getting rusty and oily I don't know why it happen I just put a water but its getting more rusty I think water will make spinner rusty

My tape just squeezes out and if it doesn't the tape is too thick to go in (tried different tapes)

I know kinda old at this point but I have a metal spinner now I really like, it spins for a long time but then just kinda grinds and stops, is there an easy fix for that as well? x.x The spinner came oiled pretty good for once so I don't think it'd need any WD-40

What I did to fix mine was take the whole thing apart and rub each piece with water and soap. Loosened the bearings right up!

hey guys, i have been having a problem with my rainbow fidget spinner. when i firsr got it it spun for 7 min. the next day it spun for 3 min and the day after almost 1.5 min with alot of sound. is this normal that a fidget spinner gets less spin time every time or is there a problem? pls tell me i had this problem for quiet a whilr

Faded Shadow mine is ok. I try first before I bought it. Spins smoothly both ways.
