Yo am here from Sudan, i kinda picked up on the antlers really late like a year ago, I started with hospice and it was amazing then i listened to everything else and now this one is just such a good development. Also you're really cool man
This reminds me of the Hospice album, but this isn't about a abusive relationship, it is a healthy relationship, which has its up and its downs naturally, they don't try to control one another or emotionally abuse or physically. They work it out, when the man was frustrated, instead of yelling or fighting, he danced it out, he got it out in a healthy way. In the end they came together in that worn out building. Instead of the idea of a cage which Hospice very much presented, they danced, which represents freedom, even in the hard times they could still dance and be free, not trapped in a cage. To get from Green to Gold you have to experience some hardship, and they did like any natural relationship. Lovely album, lovely film.
It felt to me like a mirrored version of the relationship in Hospice as well. A relationship grounded in maturity and responsibility rather than volatility and codependency. A stunning, poignant album. They did it again.
I also love the contrast lyrically between this and Hospice, where Hospice is all about how flaws and failures were weaponized and used for manipulation but this album is all about accepting flaws and failures and finding peace with imperfection in yourself and those you love.
It just feels like the right time for this album coming out in spring into summer. With the lighter days and the positive hope of new beginnings it feels such a timely album. Life moves on and evolves, loved the darkness of hospice and gave me the emotional intensity I needed at that time but the lightness of this album is exactly what I needed right now
I can never decide how I feel about The Antlers albums. I keep getting drawn in trying to figure it out. I can't get an immediate reaction. Which, I think, is a sign of great and original music.
The Antlers' are always music to my ears. I have been listening to them since three years when I was in the solitary mountains of Himalayan Ladakh. Thank you The Antlers for your unique and artistic music. Love from roof of the world... Ladakh
I waited and waited. 7 years. Almost lost hope. Thank you for this. I love you guys and been a fan for a decade now. Best wishes from Iraq.

I could have written this comment myself. This warms my heart since none of my friends here care for the Antlers' music. Cheers from Erbil!

I'll be damned if this isn't the most summery album that's ever summered under the summer sun.
By Jove Kevin, methinks you’re summery well right sir!
@@sibeex to be sure it's a good summery
Late summer.. But eh good enough.
Thankfully, The Antlers continues to make music. We look forward to a future tour!
After such dark winters and rainy springs from the past albums this one blooms as a warm welcome to summer. Beautiful as ever The Antlers!

Where was this filmed?
Holy shit
Eu colocaria mais de metais, como no último álbum, mas é sem dúvidas um trabalho fino de primeira qualidade.

No hospital beds? No singing morphine alarms?
