I use a Shimano GRX RD-RX400 rest derailleur on my gravel bike with a custom OSPW 11/13 wheels thinking going 13/13 but it actually makes a noticeable difference and my friends are actually starting to make OSPWs for their mountain bikes. And they love it as it actually effects shifting making it smoother and less likely to get effected by mud and grime on long dirty trails and rides. Everyone is so adamant that it’s only useful on road bikes they are missing a huge opportunity by expanding the line to gravel and mountain set ups. But their loss because of a company doesn’t have an open mind about expanding their lines then I’ll save up and get the equipment to make and sell them myself. I only haven’t because it costs lots of money for the equipment and materials to start and potential competitors but I’m starting to realize their is a whole market waiting to be expanded with no competition at all.
Hi Sebestyen, spring tension directly effects chain tension, which is a leading factor in drivetrain efficiency. The higher the chain tension, the more friction occurs in the drivetrain . If you are using an AXS derailleur for cyclo cross, or gravel riding on rough terrain, you may find the higher chain tension (using the high spring tension setting) can help support the clutch for chain retention and stability. If your riding is focused on roads and smoother surfaces, the lower spring tension allows for a more efficient setup.
When you aligned the CS plate to re-set the clutch, you say to “wind it to the back”, but you didn’t wind anything. Should the D shapes sit flush? Thanks
Hi, you can find more information about the tools right here in the installation manual: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0726/7542/6606/files/ospw-for-sram-axs_installation-and-maintenance.pdf?v=1686743869
In the video is clear to see that are 2 levels where the cage could stop (in favor of the spring tension), one higher than the other one,(both are located in the original SRAM) but after installation we can not see where the cage is stopping, could you please let us know where the cage exactly stops ? also I am having troubles to properly close the cage eliminating the gap between the cage and the clutch. How much tension do you apply to keep the spring inside the clutch to eliminate this gap? thank you
hey I have the Ceramicspeed cage / puli on SRAM red e tap axs. when I put the bike on the kicker it makes very strange noises. what could that be? most of them in large gear.
Is it compatible with SRAM AXS eTap 52/39 chainring and 10-36T cassette, meaning will the chain length be enough when in 52 in front and 36 in the back?
Hi Gaurav, I believe you are referring to the pulley wheel oil. This is included to enable ongoing maintenance of the pulley wheels. You can learn more here; www.ceramicspeed.com/en/cycling/support/products/oversized-pulley-wheel-systems/maintenance/
With electronic systems you shall just go in the smallest gear allowed in the rear. This combination confirms that the chain will not be too long when in the smallest tooth count combination possible while riding.
@@CeramicSpeed Thanks for the reply! Very helpful! Also could you please detail some of the adjustments for a wahoo kickr trainer please. Everything adjusted properly but with the ospw it’s crazy loud in high gears under load. Puzzling.
Hi there, the installation method is 99% the same for the Eagle mechanical and Eagle AXS systems, with the slight difference noted in the installation video.
Hi Frank. You might have been looking at a different product. This is the right OSPW System, 12 speed compatible: www.ceramicspeed.com/en/cycling/shop/oversized-pulley-wheel-systems/ospw-for-sram-redforce-axs/. :)
Hi, thank you for your question. The Rival AXS derailleur has a slightly different cage interface and as such is not compatible or supported with our existing Red/Force AXS OSPW system. We are reviewing options to support Rival AXS in the future with its own system.

This video helped a lot. Thanks❤
The symptoms indicate an adjustment is needed for when you use the Kickr trainer to account for small alignment differences from your normal wheel.
Min 4:54 I can accomplish that smooth join, There is always a gap how did you manage to avoid the spring sliding on the side?? and to get that smooth?
Same problem. Can’t wait for the answer. Find it incredibly difficult to install. What’s the secret?
Really good quality video!
hey, have you heard of hambini?
Thanks for this video
There are 2 spring tension setting but in the video you clearly state set it back to low. Whats the advantage/disadvantage of the high setting?

Excelente trabajo. Ya 😎 👍
How many long the old chain ? Leave one ? Tx

This video is uselful , but is it possible to have the reference of the specific tool?
Thanks

I was wondering if 12 speed cassette and rear derailleur ceramic over size pulley can fit???
Nice vid. Would love to get it but cannot afford it😭😭
Lucky you, ´cause it´s not worth it... ;-)
Kann ich das Spezialwerkzeug einzeln kaufen?

which ospw would i use for sram red axs 12s etap? thanks.
Why is the 10 ml bottle of Hydraulic oil provided and it does not seem to be used in this instillation

I’m running the sram red 2x and the system won’t allow the smallest cog and smallest chainring, do I just continue the same?
With electronic systems you shall just go in the smallest gear allowed in the rear. This combination confirms that the chain will not be too long when in the smallest tooth count combination possible while riding.

can u say me where you buy the special tool that you use to dismantle the yoke of your derailleur ?
Thanks
Hi Matteo, that is a part the we have specially made and is included with the OSPW system, or available for purchase on our webshop.
i didtn get one what the hell am i supposed to do very angry , i cant source one anywhere none int he box
Hey, just ordered an OSPW but for eagle axs. I know there’s another video about mechanical eagle with a note about axs, but which one do we use?
Hi there, the installation method is 99% the same for the Eagle mechanical and Eagle AXS systems, with the slight difference noted in the installation video.
will this impact how much bandwith I can ride? is there a restriction how big the cassette can be?
Hi Will. Our OSPW System is compatible with the same cassette ranges as the stock derailleur compatibility (up to a 33T cassette).
@@CeramicSpeed thank you!
Help so frustrated. there is no special tool in my box. just the pulley wheel assembly, oil and a two side 2mm hex key
Hi Ian, please email me directly; ps@ceramicspeed.com and we will sort out what happened. There should be no hex key with an OSPW for AXS road system.
@@CeramicSpeed I have send you a mail too, as my box did not include a special tool either.
I bought this a few months ago before sram released the 10-36 cassette. Will my OSPW support 36 teeth?
We can confirm that our OSPW system for SRAM AXS is compatible with the new 36T cassette.
Does it work with the 36T version?
Hi Michael, yes, we have tested and confirmed that the new 36T cassettes are compatible with our OSPW System and SRAM Red or Force AXS derailleurs.
I run 50/37 chainset and 10-33 cassette. Do you have to do anything to the length of the chain if installing OSPW?
Hi John, we recommend following the chain length guide here; www.ceramicspeed.com/media/5168/ospw-chain-length-and-spring-tension_20-09.pdf
I don’t understand the ceramic speed guide for the size of the chain…i wondering that we should add Another link because the OS needs more chain
Can this be used on SRAM 12spd? On their website I read it is not...."not compatable with 12 speed AXS".

Hi. Is this compatible with SRAM GX 10s?
Hi Cristian, this OSPW system is only compatibility with SRAM Red and Force AXS 12speed.
Does anyone else find this really confusing? Can't work out how to fit mine
Hey , can this for sram rival 12 speed Axs etap ?
Hi, thank you for your question. The Rival AXS derailleur has a slightly different cage interface and as such is not compatible or supported with our existing Red/Force AXS OSPW system. We are reviewing options to support Rival AXS in the future with its own system.
i sent a message to ceramic speed no reply

is this compatible with SRAM Rival eTap AXS?
My rotation stop screw is broken so that I cannot install it back to the cage. Do I need to replace a new cage? Note that I use OSPW R6800. Thank you.
