Why isn't Joss Stone more popular ? She is w/o a doubt one of the most soulful white soul singers of all time. I know she is huge in Europe but come on people.
Unfortunately soul especially by white women isn't very popular in America and if it doesn't make money it doesn't get played. She is by far one of the most talented singers today but not everybody knows this. Damn if she is fun to look at...WOW she's a beauty!!!!
Maybe becouse of the way that she has chosen, and by that I mean that she left big record label and made her own so she can make music by her way base on fun and her feelings instead of someones demands. Poor girl...! She and many others like her! They think that singing with cristal, metalic, secure, perfec and AGRESSIVE voices can make them good singers. Soooo wrong!!!! Singing beautifuly is exactly the opposite. They have to be brave enough to expose their weakness, their emotions, their humanity in their voices. Being in tune and make small tricks and waves with their voices is not enough. It just makes modern singers alll sing and sound alike. This is a good example..just look the diference between Blondie's interpretation and Joss's interpretation.

Joss stones duets are amazing I love them all (James brown being my favorite) But I cant wait for the day that Joss stone can invite others to perform at her concerts instead of her always being the guest of others... What a voice ..............
No disrespect to Blondie or any other artist, I grew up on Blondie & have mad respect for her, I'm saying Joss can hang, she is no pop star wannabe, she took control of her career by 19 yrs old, there is nothing cookie cutter about Joss.
Deborah Harry was phenomenal (as always) as was Joss Stone, but there was no upstaging. They have differing styles and they meshed together well here. I'm not sure that anyone could upstage DH. She's fantastic.

A great duo. Joss performing the verbal pyrotechnics that Debbie used to be able to manage when I watched her live in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It worked best when Debbie dropped her voice an octave and they sang the same notes an octave apart, together with some of the other harmonies. Good to see Clem still sharp and trying to emulate his hero Keith Moon.
Two of the best singers and I know Blonde is a lovely person by the the way she looked after her husband, but he must of been worth it and Joss is an incredible sing and seems a lovely girl good look to both
Debbie Harry looked after band mate and boyfriend Chris Stein during a near me fatal immune disorder. He eventually recovered. They split up after he wanted to start a family and have her quit the music business. She wanted to continue working.

Yes, Clem Burke is a talented drummer, widely respected by professional musicians. It is a shame he doesn't have more respect from the music consumer.
