You can swap out the insert, but it’s a little narrower than something like a Haley. With that, I did try smacking the Haley M4 insert in there and it was too snug to be effective. Probably not going to be awesome for AK mags…unless two is enough. Also wish it had Kydex inserts for reindexing. It’s a damn solid rig though. Really well made.
Honestly it's my favorite CQB and walk on outdoors rig, very comfortable and quality is 💯. With that said it's built more towards the speed softers game type but if paired with a decent belt system to hold pair mags / dump pouch it works well outdoors.

@@ConvertAS you'll definitely enjoy it. In outdoor play games that run a bit longer ( 45 - 60 minutes ) I typically run EPM1 mags and carry 3 in the chest rig and 3 on the belt. Honestly I probably only get two and a half mags sometimes 3 worth of bb's used, but I mostly run semi and every so often binary.
