Another great video! Those brass sounds are amazing, but I’ve been pretty happy with the Logic Studio Horns, which has offered dozens of articulations for years. I’m not composing brass based compositions, just horns for funk & R&B.
Is this one very different from the non pro version? I wanted to get the original one. Also, I am on a 24GB computer, do you know that will be enough for this version? Thank you 😊🙏
24GB memory? What DAW are you running? You can minimise the use of RAM by using the purge function EDIT: you should really have minimum 32gb but 64gb better - esp if you want to put in more instruments I've got 128 in my system
Sorry to say, but this "Valves Pro" is exact what I don't like 'bout Horns, when it starts to sound some German beer festival or Austria folk music I start running away. These are now (Earth, Wind & Fire) Funk Horns or something that's Funky . Hope you don't mind my critics ? ✌🏼You're still a good dude 🙃 If you ask me, even "Session Horns Pro" is not good enough, and that should be one of the best.
No problem! I do wish they had more intensity at the loudest samples on this one. And I'm definitely ready for a Session Horns Pro Ultimate Ultimate Deluxe!!
@@jefgibbons Exactly, it's like they blow those Horns like sisi girls. I missing the fire / energie in the sound, even with compression/ limiting pushing still not enough fire.
The clearly explain about the concept of mellow, soft and warm brass sounds. Complaining it is not bright is like complaining your Porsche is not a pick-up truck.
Gosh... that was quick.
Thanks for the demo! Cheers,

Thanks Jef!
It's a solid 6/10
There’s a cost of living crisis. Why are you showing me more plugins I want to buy! 😂
I was thinking the exact same thing
@@JEtienneMusic Sorry guys!
LOVE VALVES. Sounds GREAT.

@@guitaroso I am using Logic Pro now. But I used Cubase in the past.
@@victornoagbodji You should be good with 24GB, just follow guitaroso's advice and purge once you're done composing!
damn - been waiting for a French horn patch - just a bit too $ at this stage

I bought Valves 3 weeks ago, lol. Well, VP is on sale, so there's that.
Yeah this one came out of the blue for me, wasn't expecting an alternate version so soon...
@@jefgibbons there is an upgrade option which essentially gives you the original Valves for free. So what’s the problem?
@@mr.gumbarfy9820 Good point mrG! I didn't even check the upgrade options...
