I literally made TWO in the past 24 hours with the old vid, and I did have to playback a couple times. My second was the bigger size and I counted the stitches for the straps but came out uneven. I’m still happy with it, but this tutorial is easier to understand, thank you so much for going slower it’s a big help! 💕💕
I’ve made two of these but I made the straps using the thermal stitch instead of single crochet so it’s less diggy in the shoulder when the bottle is full, I love this pattern!
This was my first ever crochet project (except for squares) and I love it! Your explanations were great, and made me understand the notations a lot better too! Thank you!
These instructions were given so clearly thank you, I've been crocheting on and off for years but still consider myself beginner and people make it so complicated and don't slow down enough to see anything so thank you!!❤️❤️🥰
Yay! Thank you for updating, i love this easy and fun holder. I made one using the original video and had to replay many times to get it right. I hdd to slow down the playback to 50% to rewatch sections 🤪
Thanks for the tutorial! Easy to see what you are doing and follow along! I am totally making more for friends and family! Please make more tutorials you are a good teacher :)
I've been making these for everyone i know 😂 the dollar tree has cotton yarn and one skein is enough for a large size! I make the strap separately and attatch after. Then i can make a sturdier step that doesn't stretch. 👍

Hello! I am an intermediate crocheter and Ive run into a little bit of a problem that I didn’t see anyone else address in the comments. For me, from row 7 onwards, it keeps getting smaller until it doesn’t even fit around the water bottle any more. Am I doing something wrong?
hi! do you think you could make a checkered one? i've been trying to find one, but there's none. i absolutely love your tutorial but i need a checkered one... thank you soooo much! ❤❤
When I make my bottle holder with 'Sugar n Cream' cotton yarn the hole where the bottle is supposed to go gets smaller and smaller when I do my rows. What can I do to stop that from happening?
@@Warmest.Lavender I think I might have figured it out. Make sure you are doing everything in dc…even the increases, because I realized I was doing normal increases instead of double then the hole would go in, instead of out.
I just added more base rows and then instead of the # of stitches she says for the going up rows, I just matched how many I had so it's even all around. I think I added 3 more base rows to get it wide enough on the bottom to fit my larger bottle
Hi! Thanks so much for the free pattern and tutorial! I made one using the small pattern, a 5 mm hook, and Sugar ‘n Cream cotton medium 4. However, it is much smaller than yours. I made the strap with 80 chains as well, but it is way too short. Any idea what I did wrong?
The same thing happened to me. I just followed the steps for the larger water bottle which brought it to the right size and added more chains for the strap :)
Late, but this always happens to me too! the "big" one is enough for the small bottle, and I need to add another round for it to fit a big bottle. I assume her tension is looser than most.
do another round and add one dc so if the last row was (2dc, inc) repeated, the next row would be (3dc, inc) repeated, next row is (4dc, inc) rep, etc.
@@sleepdeprived_potato there would just be more stitches than what i say in the video & the strap would have to be centered differently based on the amount of stitches you have
for every row you want to add, add one double crochet so if your last row was (1dc, inc)*, your next row would be (2dc,inc)*, next row (3dc, inc)*, etc.

you are able to change the playback speed to go slower if needed. the double crochet stitch is the stitch used for rows 1-13. so row 14 is just doing a single crochet in every stitch.
@@Jenna-yc3ni the body of the bag is made by repeating double crochet, chain 1, double crochet, etc. the chain one space is where you chained one in the previous round. so instead of double crocheting into the double crochet from last round, you double crochet into that chain one
