Had to pause to comment on the writing things down advice. As a historian and historical interpreter, I agree wholeheartedly. Not only does it document daily life in real time, but when I find a diary or log book kept by folks from 1800s, 1700s, especially by women and other normally matginalized groups, it's a freakin treasure trove that I and all my circle will nerd out and obsess over for years. It helps us to interpret what life was really like, all the mundane things folks went through that are left out of the soundbites of news papers and the like. You may think it's boring now, but I promise you, the insight it gives someone a hundred years from now is absolutely priceless. All these planners, daily logs, etc, it's a goldmine for future historians and researchers.
I loved watching you journal. I too would like to do it but I don't know what to write. I'm retired and feel like the only thing I'd write about is cleaning. Are we making this too hard or over thinking it? Like to see videos addressing this subject.
I love this. The calmer music, that fountain pen, softer audio, all of it! Also, in awe that you hang things yourself. My husband has banned me from putting anything in the wall myself because I tend to make them look like swiss cheese 😂
Loved this video! As a genealogist, I heartily approve of journaling the "mundane" things of one's life for future generations. I have cherished the journals of my ancestors. Also, I think air plants or quality fakes would look fabulous in that tray on the peg board.
Loved this video! I enjoyed following the day w you! Watching people work like you did is not boring, keeps me going while I work! I have my planner out all day and I am always in it❤❤❤
Hi Julie, loved this video…so much I may have accidentally ordered an A6 Hobonici to use alongside my A5 Cousin! I’ll use it for work the way you are as a daily go to in my bag. I have been so conflicted with my whole do I mix work with Cousin??? 🤨 so now I am waiting to get my new one for work! LOL By the way I am going to do the peg board next! 😆
Loved your video. You and I have the same two covers. The Hobonichi and Galen leather covers. If your pen case is Portland leather I have that same case in that color too. And finally I have the white Twsbi Eco. lol. Now I hope you know I now have to go run and get that peg board from IKEA!
I loved this video. Sometimes, more often thane realize, we need to give ourselves permission to just be. Find what works and let it. Would you mind sharing where you found the cover for your mini hobo? Thank you!
Q. Where did you get the black mount that you put on the wall to hold the peg board? I have 3 peg boards from IKEA but don't have the mounts for them...
Hi Julie, loved the video great reminder to continue to keep journaling even the smallest things which I really needed to hear, question for you, what was the name of the pen you mentioned that you tried last year that you didn't like but now you are enjoying? I couldnt catch it. Tysm! xo Lindsey
@@JuliesPlans I have been in a cousin since 2020 and I can’t imagine not having it now. I appreciate the creative inspiration but also good reminder to keep it simple. Journaling is therapeutic it’s not about what I did but how I’m doing.
Let me just tell you I read the title of this wayyyy too fast and read DILF instead of DITL… I may have some trauma from Raine’s senior year last year where she had to apologize to her PRINCIPAL for calling him a DILF… 🫣😳🤯 (she told someone: and they told on her… oops) Love this style video from you. The peg board looks fantastic. Dollar tree does carry some great pieces for peg boards as well.

I can't recommend the Ikea peg board enough. I love that they offer more than just white as an option, even with their accessories for the board!
I have missed your DITL. I loved this one!!

The Little gifts cover is by hobonichi but I purchased mine on eBay! I’ve heard it’s available on Amazon though!
