I was shocked when I saw this video for the first time...After visiting Strobel Lake this April, I can perfectly understand this caster´s sayings THE PLACE FOR THE BIGGEST RAINBOW TROUTS. Excellent video ! Congrats !!!!
What a great video of a Great Fisherwoman, with all the moxie of a warrior...Go Fly Woman Go, and Thank you for another Grand Experience for me to be thrilled just to watch you....
thank you so much for posting this video. i loved the video in general and thought this was narerated perfectly! also hering the little bits of poetry made me ge through some sever writers block and had me finish an esay in 30 min! thanks again
Hi there yes you can . I born here and imigrate to usa live up it there for 30 years and got retire for my job and comeback here i just cameback from a trout fishing trip yesteraday and you will have so many places that is hard to stay in one place . You fish and hunt red stag in the patogonian and the more important thing is is really but really cheap . Steak and food in general fishing guides and everithing absolutly cheap . I hope it help my comment
Excellent video, I'm going in November and wanted to ask if you had any issues getting the drone into Argentina and customs. I have a DJI Inspire 1, any tips, pointers and advice would be greatly appreciated.
What a wild, desolate, cold place, who would have thought the Lake would produce such beautiful rainbows, I wonder what they feed on to get to be so big and healthy?
Winston Kairos.........nice choice. My favorite Spey Rod is the 12’3” Kairos 6 weight. Better than every other 6-7 Spey rod I’ve owned. The single handed rod anyway. Your two handed looks like beautiful Winston green.
Great video. I'd love to get over there someday and have a crack at them beasts. Doesn't look like a friendly place for the toupee wearer! It looks like a rough wind but I guess if you use it to your advantage you'll be able to throw a serious line! Great stuff. Very jealous!
its as magical as it is insanely inaccessible and remote.. the tours there are a sham, for $7k you can have a completely independent 2 week spree of do-whatever-you-want there including renting ATVs Cars, buying tents and fishing gear and tickets food gas, all you need is someone who speaks the language or an offline translator the lake is also known as jurassic lake
Actually, it seems these fish don’t run. They just thrash. Harder to get them on the reel if they don’t help you out a little.I get that you want to stop them given the structure they can get into, but seems like a weird fight- at least from the video.
Awesome video, what do you people think it was that was swimming really fast at 0:42 sec down the middle of the shot?? That could not have been a trout..LOL!
Cool place cool youtube but we don't get to see the gal who catches all those big fish. Catch Magazine is hot stuff. This is revolution in the making. The medium is (half) the message.
Nah you're not crazy to stand in high winds in a beautiful place catching massive trout. **Lady runs hook all the way through her finger** Ok, maybe a little crazy.
An incredible thought is these fish might be even larger if the genetic stock was ideal. Long age to first maturation results in the biggest fish. Have to look into this!
Given the conditions and the size of the fish, I would put those fish on the reel immediately rather than stripping them in by hand. keeps all the slack line out of your way as well and allows you to pull the rod into your body and brace it so your arms aren't taking all the strain.
The sterile appearance of this lake nearly defies its productivity. As with so many lakes, the answer lies in some very subtle aspects of this lake. Very interesting.

Horacio Fernandez Thanks Horacio!
As if it's even necessary to say ..... MUCH respect!! Incredible footage and fishing! Great job!
Thanks very much. That was a tough week to say the least. Just holding the camera steady was a job in itself.
Who is the narrator? Excellent job, and thank the narrator for the adventure and being inspiring!
Awesome quad cam footage. The hookup at 3:20 is beautiful. The one at 7:49 was a BEAST. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.
My arms are getting sore watching this. Awesome. Thanks for posting.
Haha! Thanks for watching!

Beautiful video! Damn!! In all respects!!
How does one get permission/license/permits to fish if not a local?

Excellent! So nice to see a fine female caster enjoying these conditions.
Karen Dils I agree! Thanks Karen!
Eccezionale. Solo i Grandi pescatori si adattano a queste condizioni climatiche. Very compliment !!!
Excellent video and bravo to the brave fly fisher lady😄

Amazing video, is this lake open to fly fishing only ?
Excellent video, I'm going in November and wanted to ask if you had any issues getting the drone into Argentina and customs. I have a DJI Inspire 1, any tips, pointers and advice would be greatly appreciated.
That was INSANE SISTER. You're my hero!

All these vids are super high quality
Respect!!! at 7.52 - the long slow take we all visit in our dreams - lovin the weather - best time to get outdoors.
ca c'est du sport!!!!!! de belles images une musique sympa tout y est bravo.
Amazing footage and video... by the way, do you release EVERY fish back to the water?
C'est du délire total !....quel bonheur !..magnifiques poissons !.... Le rêve quoi !...
Patrice Gourbault Thanks Patrice!
J'aimerais beaucoup vivre de tels moments !....cela doit être intense et et fabuleux !.....merci encore de nous les faire partager !....
At 3:26 and 3:30, it looks like she has on an Atlantic salmon! Sweet!Isn't this the same angler as in Todd's Steelhead Dreams video?
What a wild, desolate, cold place, who would have thought the Lake would produce such beautiful rainbows, I wonder what they feed on to get to be so big and healthy?
What is the music piece? Wonderful video. Thanks!!
Insane indeed. What is the music in the second half?
Winston Kairos.........nice choice. My favorite Spey Rod is the 12’3” Kairos 6 weight. Better than every other 6-7 Spey rod I’ve owned. The single handed rod anyway. Your two handed looks like beautiful Winston green.
A dream to fish, and toss a fly, absolutely incredible!
Nice fishing what kind of fish of this. Rainbow r brown r steel head
can somebody explain to me why she has one rod setup with what looks like a fly line attached to backing attached to another backing?
***** She is fishing a switch rod. The Airflo line system includes, backing, then a running line attached to the head of the fly line.
Go ahead and cast a single handed rod into a 30 mph head wind for a day, and you will understand why she is using a switch.
Super footage, Todd!
Nice video. Nice plug for Echo.
what size fly rod line set is required for these big troutregards steveI.
brilliant vid, thanx !
Could you record a video clip showing graylings and hucho hucho the queen of rivers ?
Is that a catch and release lake only ?
How many days did you spend on this lake for this video? did you hire a guide for a your days?
We did the lake segment in 3 days I think. Yes, was guided.
Great video. I'd love to get over there someday and have a crack at them beasts. Doesn't look like a friendly place for the toupee wearer! It looks like a rough wind but I guess if you use it to your advantage you'll be able to throw a serious line! Great stuff. Very jealous!
Quiero ir, cómo llego y how much?
I do this for stoxker trout 😆 was in a blizzard a few weeks ago out in colorado and nailed three 18" bows over 2lbs each
great rainbow trouts!!!
jumping like that reminds me of steelhead...or a tarpon trout :)
this place looks magical
its as magical as it is insanely inaccessible and remote.. the tours there are a sham, for $7k you can have a completely independent 2 week spree of do-whatever-you-want there including renting ATVs Cars, buying tents and fishing gear and tickets food gas, all you need is someone who speaks the language or an offline translator
the lake is also known as jurassic lake
Why weren't you using barbless hooks?
Nice video, nice lake!
Dam what a place beautifull!
Waves, wind, sharp rocks, a drop off big lake trout. Fairly challenging conditions...
On big fish I prefer getting my line on the reel and letting the drag assist in landing the fish.
Humboldt Fisher I was thinking the same thing. She's better than I am. I often snap off large fish if I don't use the drag.
Actually, it seems these fish don’t run. They just thrash. Harder to get them on the reel if they don’t help you out a little.I get that you want to stop them given the structure they can get into, but seems like a weird fight- at least from the video.
good for you.
She looks like she knows what she's doing
I think it's an editing thing. She lands most of them on the reel. Something about the line stripping shots looks good on video.
Awesome video, what do you people think it was that was swimming really fast at 0:42 sec down the middle of the shot?? That could not have been a trout..LOL!
I saw that too and was wondering the same thing, looks massive
That was a gust of wind creating a little moving surface vortex.
matthwy1 oh no ! was a living creature lol...the legend of the 20000000 pound bow trout 😂
Awesome video!
Good testament to that Echo Reel. A reel for under $200 handling those brutes. Great gear.
Just magnificent!
Excelent video!
Juan P Thanks Juan!
Now that is the definition of die hard !!!
zymbotictoot The angler Katherine Hart really did make something happen that day. Those conditions were just brutal. Thanks for watching!
This ticks so many boxes, yeah it's brilliant! ATB.
Great.
Beautiful 👏👏👏🧿🇹🇷
素晴らしいトラウト達です!
Bravo. Well done video in extremely harsh conditions. My guess the movement in 43 second period is baitfish being chased.
Re-watch it is the wind
Christian Avery Good call, I now agree.
Christian Avery YES!
Cool place cool youtube but we don't get to see the gal who catches all those big fish. Catch Magazine is hot stuff. This is revolution in the making. The medium is (half) the message.
Thanks for watching Colin!
That was insane what a rush...wow
Nah you're not crazy to stand in high winds in a beautiful place catching massive trout.
**Lady runs hook all the way through her finger**
Ok, maybe a little crazy.
Amazing!!!
An incredible thought is these fish might be even larger if the genetic stock was ideal. Long age to first maturation results in the biggest fish. Have to look into this!
Phenomenal
Fantastic
For fish like those, that isn't crazy at all
You go girl!
You go, lady!
Given the conditions and the size of the fish, I would put those fish on the reel immediately rather than stripping them in by hand. keeps all the slack line out of your way as well and allows you to pull the rod into your body and brace it so your arms aren't taking all the strain.
Wow,,,,, the most difficult situation if we cast in high wind
That's one of the funkiest songs i've ever heard
Super lady 👍🏼
The sterile appearance of this lake nearly defies its productivity. As with so many lakes, the answer lies in some very subtle aspects of this lake. Very interesting.
How does one spell trust fund?
I really t to try this seems fun:)
Amazing
👍👍
u GO girl,,

Great video.shame about the music
