Thank you for a relaxing, peaceful video, Gina! Also, after I watched your video talking about the coffee mugs at JoAnn's ...my hubby and I went and I got the yellow bee one that says buzz off! Haha, such a funny mug. I thank you for the heads up as I didn't even know they had mugs there...( haven't been to JoAnn's in YEARS!!! And...We didn't have to use the F word haha...full price, it was on sale! The LORD bless you and keep you and yours =)

It is so much healthier to make your own bread. I like your kitchen. A young woman I used to work with has 3 little ones and she just started making sour dough bread and other breads, rolls and cinnamon rolls from scratch. She was nervous when she first started making it but now makes them all the time.

I was having trouble with my lungs, my doctor prescribed a steroid and an inhaler but also suggested I begin using organic stinging nettle leaf. It's good to see you up and about.

I will have to look into the stinging nettle leaf. Thank you.

Gina you speak so slowly just like my American friend. Are you really that zen?😜You nearly put me to sleep. I'm a New Zealander and we don't speak slowly. Great recipe that I've wanted to try for ages.

Isn't baking kind of meditative? You can't rush steps, and you have to really focus on what you're doing. It was very relaxing watching this. 😊

I so wish I knew how to make a sourdough starter that wouldn't die on me. It's so hard!😢

Can you get it to the point that you can make bread with it?
Once it is to that point, the left over starter can be refrigerated and kept for months without feeding it.
If a grayish liquid is on top of it, it is still ok. It just means it's hungry and needs to be fed.
That gray liquid is called "hooch" and can just be stirred in before measuring.
My starter has been alive and kicking since March of 2020.
      Good luck with yours!

At what point does it die for you? Maybe I can help with what works for me.
